Review: A Car that Follows Your Doodles

Little boys love playing with toy cars. My son has a collection of toy cars that he often brings out of his room and plays with on the couch. There are usually no words spoken just various motor sounding noises and an occasional crashing sound. It’s a boy thing. The point is…boys love playing with cars.

Well, what if there was a creative new way to play with a toy car? Introducing the Doodle-Track car! The makers at Daydreamtoy.com have taken playing with cars to a whole new level! What is so great about this car you ask?

The Doodle-Track car is a plastic car that will follow any track that your child draws! That’s right! Get some paper out and let them use the washable black marker that is provided and they can draw their very own track and it will follow!

The Doodle-Track car comes with a playmat track, stick-on decals, washable marker, and instructions. The car requires 2 AAA batteries to run however. It only comes with one car but you can purchase other cars.

Also, if you go to their website www.doodletrackcar.com your child can design and print their own tracks online which allows them to add some cool icons like trees, signs, stores and buildings. My son is six-years-old and he loved coming up with his own track and watching the Doodle-Track Car follow his creation.

They also provide a card with a special code on it so that your child can open up a bonus tracks feature for even more ways to create unique tracks! My son was fascinated by how the car would follow the line. He did figure out that the car would not work well if he drew a turn too sharply so he made his turns a little bigger. If he had more than one car he could probably make them race each other or even crash into one another…remember it’s a boy thing!
