A Big Thanks to Qualcomm at E3!

by Lori Cunningham   E3 2013 (16)

Meet James.  James was my personal assistant while trekking around the E3 video games show here in Los Angeles.  Qualcomm knows how hard it is to go into the trenches and search out what you’re looking for at a trade show while schlepping all your stuff around.  James waited on me hand and foot to assist me with any need I had while I walked the showroom floor.

James carried my bags, brought me water and Starbucks coffee, helped me scout out the kids video games, (which wasn’t easy this year), went out to bring me lunch, stood in long lines and texted me when he was just about at the front, and even helped me secure some fun stuff to bring back to my kids.  While I was in meetings, he was scouring the trade show floor looking for games kids would like.  He took screen shots and brought them to me, then guided me to the games within the booths to ensure I had a chance to try them out.  Having James with me was an incredible use of my time as well as provided, in a sense, a partner in crime.

And I loved how he provided me with tidbits about the latest Snapdragon processors from Qualcomm throughout my days at E3.  I’m always fascinated by Qualcomm processors because they are the processors in many of our Android phones.  By looking up which model of Snapdragon processor your phone has, you can better understand the computing power you have available at your fingertips!  Thanks to Qualcomm, some tablets and phones now have the ability for you to do two things at once with a split screen.  And in a sense, with James assisting me, I felt like I was accomplishing this with being able to do twice as much at once!  Now, Qualcomm is now making quadcore processors in our phones and tablets today, unbelievable!

It all now seems like a distant memory, fading away.  It was so great having James around, he was such a help.  Too bad the Qualcomm personal valet program had to end once E3 ended.  Oh well.  Back to normal life!  Thanks again, Qualcomm for making the conference more productive, more fun, and less taxing, just their new Snapdragon processors are for today’s phones!
