Straight Talk’s Give a Minute, Help Make-A-Wish Program

Straight Talk Make-A-Wish

For the third year in a row, Straight Talk is holding drive to raise up to $1 million for the Make-A-Wish foundation through their “Give a Minute, Help Make-A-Wish” campaign. The campaign will take place online and at your local Walmart.  During the month of September, Straight Talk asking you to use your #WishPower to trigger donations by:

1. Visiting your local Walmart on any Saturday (during September) and attending a one-minute Straight Talk product demo

2. Sharing Wish Story videos from www.StraightTalkWish.com

3. Sharing Wish Story videos posted to Straight Talk’s Facebook or Twitter channel

Straight Talk’s Give a Minute, Help Make-a-Wish Program will donate a dollar to the Make-A-Wish foundation for attending a demo and a dollar for each online share …up to 1 million dollars! This sounds easy enough and you don’t even have to buy anything.  In this campaign, Straight Talk is making a huge donation to help raise awareness about an awesome charity that does amazing things to make kids with illnesses’ dreams come true.

Straight Talk’s Help Make-A-Wish Stories

Here are some of the wish stories Straight Talk is highlighting and asking you to consider sharing…

Straight Talk Make-A-Wish

In 2012, Braeden was diagnosed with severe Aplastic Anemia, which means his bone marrow does not produce new blood cells to replenish what he has.  His dream is to be a helicopter pilot for the US Coast Guard.  Make-A-Wish helped grant his wish to become a part of the US Coast Guard crew for a day.  Watch a part of his adventure.

Kimmy was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy when she was 15 months old. Kimmy’s wish was to have her own playhouse.  With the help of Ryan Companies and tons of volunteers, her wish came true and she was beside herself with excitement.  Watch the video as she sees her new playhouse for the first time.

Be sure to check out the Straight Talk Wish Page for more endearing stories on how Make-A-Wish made kids’ dreams come true.

Make-A-Wish is an amazing charity, and not only does it help make dreams come true for children suffering through terrible ailments, but it proves over and over again the good in peoples’ hearts as they volunteer many hours to make a child’s wish come true.

Family Technology at it's Best

A Mom’s Perspective

I find myself shopping at Walmart often.  Not just because I’m a Walmart Mom, but because I genuinely enjoy the advantages of shopping there like lower prices, saving money with Savings Catcher (I’ve saved $21 so far!), getting great fashionable shorts for my daughter for $3-$5, because they are on clearance right now, and easily keeping track of my prescriptions using the Pharmacy section of the Walmart app.

So stopping off in the electronics department of Walmart for a one-minute Straight Talk demo that triggers a donation to the Make-A-Wish foundation will be easy.

I’m already a Straight Talk user as a member of the #StraightTalkTesters, but I have been very happy with the service for the past 6 months.  Straight Talk offers affordable pricing and they utilize the strength of some of the top mobile phone company networks, so you get good service and a lower price.

I know we all get bombarded from friends, family, school kids, email’s, snail mail, and phone calls to donate to this and that, but for little effort, you can help make a difference in someone’s life and touch them in a very meaningful way.  Please join me in sharing these life-changing Make-A-Wish videos and/or by stopping off in the Walmart Electronics department on Saturdays during September for a short demo on Straight Talk Wireless.
