Capture

Epson recently came out with an app-enabled label printer that gives you the option to not only print out handy little white labels, but fluorescent, cable wrap, iron-on, and many more! The Epson LabelWorks LW-600p app-enabled label printer is a handy little tool to have around your office or home.  You can print labels from ~1/4″ (6 mm) to ~1″ (24 mm) wide to use on most surfaces…including clothes.

The Epson LabelWorks app-enabled label printer is different than hand-held labelers because it works off of your phone.  Using an app from Android or Apple, you can create all of your labels straight from the Epson app.  The LW-600p app-enabled label printer is a sturdy, professional printer that can either sit at your desk, or with batteries, it can be stored anywhere…even a cupboard, without worry of an electrical plug. You can create some pretty innovative labels, including borders around your label, adding fun symbols, and even handwriting your label digitally.

Fun Labels Available

Epson has a number of label tapes available to help you with your projects.  You can view all of the label tape types available here.

Different label finishes include:

  • Standard
  • Clear
  • Ribbon
  • Iron-on
  • Fluorescent
  • Metallic
  • Pearlized
  • Reflective
  • Glow in the Dark

With all of these label finish options, there are even more reasons to use a label printer.  We have used the Epson LW-600 app-enabled label printer* for the last couple of months and have had fun finding new uses for the various labels available.

My kids loved the customized ribbon and used the ribbon to make a nice ribbon on their Hershey bar treats for their kids for Halloween.

I used the iron-on labels to iron on our name on my son’s Cadet’s uniform shirt.  Wow, I love this, it’s so easy!

The glow-in-dark label helps to find the main light switch in our family room when watching TV and the lights are off.

I coach our school’s Odyssey of the Mind team and my daughter used the Epson app-enabled printer to create fun labels for every child’s folder.

My daughter also used the Epson app-enabled printer to mark her school stuff.  She loves using the symbols to make her labels stand out.

Family Technology at it's BestA Mom’s Perspective

We have used the handheld labelers before.  What I like about using the Epson LabelWorks LW-600p  app-enabled label printer is that I have a full screen to work with, there’s no more scrolling on a tiny screen to see if I spelled all the words correctly.  I also love being able to add custom pictures, handwritten notes, or even a QR code in my label.  There is so much more I can do with the Epson LabelWorks app-enabled label printer.

Though I wish the Epson LabelWorks LW-600p  app-enabled label printer had a rechargeable battery,(like most of the gadgets I own), it’s a fast, speedy, professional printer that has given my family new ideas of how we can professionally label things.
