AeroGarden Indoor Garden

Have you seen those  Miracle-Gro AeroGarden Indoor Garden kits before?  The ones where you can grow herbs and vegetables inside on your kitchen counter without worry about soil and bugs?  I have always wanted to try one, as you see, I have more of a black thumb than a green thumb.  The AeroGarden Indoor Garden even comes with a light that helps plants to grow faster.  This means, you can put your garden anywhere…even in a dark room.

My kids and I recently put together the soil-free, NASA-proven  AeroGarden Indoor Garden 3SL, which promises to grow plants 5 times faster than soil.  I have to tell you, AeroGarden Indoor Garden has it down to a science.  They use the pod concept, similar to the Keurig c-cup process.  You buy pods and place them in your AeroGarden Indoor Garden.

I used the three salad mix greens to grow first.  AeroGarden states that this process is foolproof and 100 % guaranteed, so I can’t wait to be eating a healthy salad next month! 🙂

The AeroGarden SL is the newest and thinnest garden AeroGarden has made yet, at just 5 inches wide.  Every AeroGarden Indoor Garden kit comes with a free Gourmet Herb Seed Pod Kit to grow Genovese Basil, Parsley, and Dill.  You can also buy seed kits for Cherry tomatoes, chili peppers, romaine lettuce, petunias, and more.  Can you imagine growing cherry tomatoes in your kitchen?  Hungry?  Just snip off three or four!

Set up was easy, it took minutes to set up the AeroGarden Indoor Garden itself and put the pods in their holders.  We then filled up water to the fill line, as stated in the AeroGarden instructions.  Finally, we put into the water some Miracle-Gro Liquid Plant food that came with the AeroGarden Indoor Garden kit.

I love that I can visibly see each day how my garden will grow.  I have a small mishap garden outside but often forget to go out there and check on it.  By the time I do, my tomatoes have been eaten or have fallen to the ground.  Out of sight, out of mind!

The Miracle-Gro AeroGarden 3SL is only available at Walmart this holiday season for $49.97.  It makes a great gift for anyone, especially those who love plants, like to eat healthy, or just love fun gadgets.

Stay tuned, in a couple of weeks I’ll update you on how well my new AeroGarden indoor garden is growing!
