Panasonic Notables at CES 2015

CES2015 Panasonic MainThis is a sponsored post by Panasonic.

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) last week in Las Vegas was an exciting yet overwhelming array of technology and gadgets from all over the world.  Over 170,000 trade-only people attended.  CES is the number one place to go to see new gadgets and gizmos soon to be introduced into the marketplace.

I spent quite a bit of time in the Panasonic booth and found my time spent there to be quite entertaining.  Panasonic has so many products geared to help us in nearly every area of our lives.  I wanted to point out a few Panasonic notables that I found to be very cool.  See what you think!

Nanoe infused Hair Dryer & Flat Iron

Last year, Panasonic introduced it’s nano-ionic steam devices which sprays extremely fine nano particles, 4,000 times finer than normal steam, into your hair to moisturize it while you blow dry or flat iron your hair.  We reviewed the Panasonic Ionic Steamer last year with this amazing technology.

This year, Panasonic improved upon their ionic steam, calling it nanoe technology.  The nanoe technology infuses 1000 times more moisture than typical ion hair dryers can.  By infusing nanoe moisture back into your hair, you add volume, while minimizing frizz.

I couldn’t resist the opportunity to have my hair styled with the nanoe flat iron at the Panasonic CES booth!

Panasonic has two great products utilizing nanoe technology, their Nanoe Hair Dryer EH-NA65-K for $129.99 and their flat iron, the Nanoe Flat Iron EH-HS95-K for $99.99.

Gluten-Free Bread MakerCES2015 Panasonic WellConnectedMom.com (40)

As someone who is completely gluten-free, Panasonic’s new bread maker(SD-YR2500) with gluten-free menus really caught my eye.  To the untrained eye, it looks like an ordinary bread maker, and it is.  The SD-YR2500 bread maker can be used quite successfully to make gluten-filled breads as well.

However, for those people seeking a healthier lifestyle or managing digestive health concerns, this bread maker offers a short-rise feature to enable the proper baking of gluten-free foods in a wide range of recipes. The result is tasty fluffy breads, a gluten-free person’s dream!

This bread maker has over 16 baking modes, including settings for white bread, French bred, pizza dough, pasta dough, and more.  It can make large loaves 1.4 lbs and extra large loaves at 2.2 lbs. for white bread.  It also features a removable and washable raisin and nut dispenser, which evenly distributes these ingredients at the ideal timing during baking.

The SD-YR2500 Panasonic bread maker will be available in September via panasonic.com and other retailers.

 4K Focus

No surprise, 4K continued to be a strong trend at CES this year.  4K will definitely be a mainstay in the home, as it provides superior color and clarity…and major motion picture production houses are already employing it.

Panasonic not only is incorporating 4K into their beautiful stylish TV’s, but also into their cameras.  After all, if you’re going to have a 4K TV, you need 4K photography equipment to ensure your pictures display well!

In addition to 4K, Panasonic has introduced a hybrid photography method that combines still images with moving images.  So you can massage a picture, like the one above, where the person in the video is still, but the waves of the waterfall continue to crash down.  It’s a fun way to add interest and excitement to your videos.

The Panasonic Smart Network 3D Blue-ray PlayerPanasonic Smart Network Blue-ray player

The DMP-BDT270 Smart Network 3D Blu-ray  Player will not be out until much later this year, but it deserves mentioning.  If you buy a 4K/UHD TV, it will take some time before there will be a lot of 4K content available.   The Smart Network 3D Blue-ray Player can take your Blue-ray DVD library and upscale your DVD’s to high-definition 4K video.  Sweet!

The Blue-ray Player also includes a full web browser, a DNLA function to connect to your home network to display videos and photos, and Miracast, an app on your phone that allows you to connect directly to your TV through a direct Wi-Fi connection.

The Lumix FZ1000 Camera

2015-01-07 14.56.17

Panasonic’s new LUMIX DMC-FZ1000 camera features a 16x optical zoom, 20.1 megapixel High Sensitivity MOS Sensor, and video capture in 4K of course!  This is the first time a digital compact camera has had the functionality to capture 4K video.

No need to miss any action with it’s quick start-up time of .66 seconds and high speed burst shooting, capturing 12 framers per second in 20.1 full megapixel resolution.

And if you have a blog and would love to interview people while videoing, the FZ1000 incorporates a 3.5mm jack  for external microphones for better sounding interviews.

The FZ1000 incorporates Wi-Fi and NFC (Near Field Communication) to be able to share photos with other devices nearly instantaneously.  And, with the Image App, you can utilize a phone or tablet to activate a remote shutter with a monitor, allowing you to release the shutter, zoom, focus, and set speed, aperture, and exposure remotely.

The Panasonic LUMIX FZ1000 is a great multi-functional camera that takes excellent shots.  Priced at $899.99, it gives you professional results whether you prefer to take your shots manually or with preset modes to make shooting easier.

There were so many fun things in the Panasonic booth, it’s hard to limit them to just a few Panasonic notables here.  Panasonic covers so many products from personal grooming to their new home monitoring systems, to action cameras, to appliances, even headphones.  Visit Panasonic.com to see further products announced at CES this year.
