CES 2015 in Pics Main

The Consumer Electronics Show takes place every year in Las Vegas.  It features the largest trade-only trade show in the world with over 170,000 attendees attending from all over the world.  This was the largest show in CES history with over 2.2 million net square feet of exhibit space and over 3,600 companies exhibiting.  CES took over the entire Las Vegas and Sands Convention Centers as well as a large part of the Aria hotel and a good number of meeting rooms at the Venetian,Westgate, Wynn, and Palazzo hotels.

I walked nearly everywhere with a record number of 76,000 steps equating to 37+ miles for the week!  Walking is so much more efficient rather than waiting for a cab.

Earlier in the week we told you about the 5 Top Tech Product Trends of CES 2015.  Now, we want to give you a little glimpse of CES from some of the hundreds of pictures we took.

Ford is another one of my favorite CES stops.  A leader in car tech since its introduction of the SYNC system in 2007, Ford now offers SYNC in all Ford and Lincoln models.  At CES 2015, Ford debuted it’s newest SYNC system, SYNC 3, which provides an easier consumer interface and improved speech recognition.

Being a huge Samsung Note 4 fan, I enjoyed seeing this display of Note 4 Edge phones.  What you are seeing is the unique edge on the end of the 20+ Note 4 Edge phones that delivers content in addition to info. on your main screen.  You can see incoming messages aswell as use the edge for shortcuts to your favorite apps.  It is very handy to see things quickly without having to open the phone’s case to look at the main screen.  Samsung is rumored to offer this Edge feature on the upcoming Samung Galaxy S6 phone as well.

I had the opportunity to attend a special Samsung Appliances function with the Samsung Club des Chefs, an exclusive club of some of the top chefs around the world.  They provide feedback on Samsung appliances to make functional appliances for budding consumer chefs.  Here, President at Samsung’s Television and Home Appliance, Mr. Boo-keun Yoon introduces the audience to their honored chefs.  Afterward, these stunning chefs created delectable appetizers fashioned in an ultra gourmet presentation.  And for the record, I must say the new Samsung Chef Collection appliances are divine!  They make entertaining a dream.

I happened to be wondering by the Casio booth and was surprised by the fun music streaming out of it.  I found a DJ creating her own mixes on the fly with the new Trackformer DJ XW-DJ1 DJ Controller and XW-PD1 Groove Center.   Both are easily transportable, battery operated, offer a ton of features to mix music, and come in under $300 and $400 respectively.  As I walked by, I couldn’t help but think, “I want her job,” as she played to a standing room only crowd!

WellConnectedMom CES 15 (27)Not sure what to do with a 3D printer if you had one?  How about build your own drum set?    Pretty impressive huh?  I’m sure building this set was no easy task, but it does open up your imagination about what is possible with 3D printers.  3D printers are one of our top 5 trends we identified at CES 2015.
