Top Kid-Friendly Video Games from E3 2017

 

 

Every year, the newest video games coming this Fall (or a little later) are announced at the E3 gaming convention.  It is not open to the public, it is intended for trade (corporate or small company video game buyers) only.

The latest video games and next releases of top video games are announced.  The biggest headlines are on releases such as FORZA Motorsport, Far Cry, Assassin’s Creed, Call of Duty, Uncharted, and a number more.

However, as we focus on family technology, we report on the best kid-friendly video games for families and kids.  Here are some fun kid-friendly video games that will be a hit with your kids this Christmas.

 

Super Mario Odyssey, No ESRB Rating Yet

 

The Mario Bros. games are always great kid-friendly video games.  Super Mario Odyssey is a fun, captivating 3D adventure that takes you across the globe.  Help Mario collect Moons to fire up The Odyssey airship.  Rescue Princess Peach from Bowser’s wedding plans.

Mario has some new moves with his cap – once he throws at others and objects, he can momentarily “possess” them to keep out of harm’s way.Super Mario Odyssey has tons of secrets and delights to discover through free discovery and finding wild off-shoots and mini-games off the beaten path.  Mario Odyssey will be available at the end of October.  It will only be available for the Nintendo Switch.

Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle – ESRB E10+

The Mario + Rabbids:  Kingdom Battle is another Nintendo game that combines two favorites – Mario and friends and the crazy rabbids.

Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle tells of how a strange force tears apart the Mushroom Kingdom.  Heroes Mario, Luigi, and friends join forces with the hilarious rabbids to bring back peace to the kingdom.  Battle strategy is the key to restoring the land.

 

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle comes out at the end of August.  It also is only available on the Nintendo Switch.

 

Marvel’s Spider-Man, No ESRB Rating Yet

 

Marvel’s Spider-Man  is a marvel in itself with its incredibly realistic settings and the precision of Spider-Man moves, commanded by the game controller.

Swing Spider-Man through NYC to save the city while helping him balance his chaotic personal life and professional career. 

Marvel’s Spider-Man has not been rated yet by the ESRB, although there is some cartoon violence.  But don’t worry, Spider-Man does not kill anyone in this video game.  If he happens to throw a villain off a building, he releases his web to safely bring the villain to the ground.

Marvel’s Spider-Man is available only on the PS4.  Currently, the release date is set for sometime in 2018.

 

Star Wars Battlefront 2, No ESRB Rating Yet

 
 

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 is the sequel to last year’s widely successful Battlefront video game.  Battle for Naboo’s capital city of Theed, just as you saw in one of the latest Star Wars movies.

The storyline follows Iden Versio, commander of the Imperial Special Forces after he witnesses the destruction of the second Death Star.  Versio tells her troops that they will avenge the Emperor.

A great chance to play the game as your favorite hero…or villain, incorporating favorites like Yoda, Hans Solo, Rey, Kylo Ren, Boba Frett, Carth Maul, and more.  The storyline includes worlds shown in the new Star Wars movies as well as the original ones.

 

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 is available in mid-November and will be available on the  PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows platforms.

 

Marvel Super Heroes 2  brings together Super Heroes and Super Villians from all over the Marvel universe, adding classic LEGO humor to Chronopolis, where they engage in cosmic battles with one another.

Coming from different locations and eras, interact with Marvel favorites such as the Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Black Panther along with Groot, Captain Marvel, Rocket Racoon, and Kang.

 

Marvel Super Heroes 2 comes out in mid-November and will be available on the  Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows platforms.
