Editor’s Note: Congrats go out to Debra from Missouri for winning the Breville Immersion Blender from our Springpad contest!
A couple of years ago I signed up for a fun pinning type website called Springpad. It’s a cross between Pinterest and Microsoft OneNote (my fave!) or Evernote. SpringPad is a great way to organize your life better. It’s perfect for:
- home decor or remodeling projects
- your recipes and special Holiday recipes
- sharing with others your favorite books, restaurants, recipes, music, websites, movies, etc.
- organize information for upcoming trips
- plan your next party…or at least your child’s birthday party!
- keep track of upcoming events and important info. from your kids’ school
- manage your family’s health information so you always have it close at hand
- organize your shopping lists/wish lists showing pictures of what you want to buy
Springpad’s Beautifully Organized Thanksgiving Contest
Once you add a recipe, when you click on the details of the recipe, you can:
- See suggested wine parings from Snooth.com
- Add the recipe items to a built-in customized shopping list on Springpad
- See local deals/advertisements on the items you need to buy for the recipe! (using built-in groceryserver.com info)
- See who else added the picture/recipe/etc. to their site
- Leave comments attached to the recipe, picture, etc.
- Click on the link to take you to where the item originally appears on the Internet
Love Pinterest? Then I think you’ll love the extra robustness of Springpad. Try out Springpad, use the #Turkey2012 hashtag, and share your notebook with your family and friends using Springpad’s built-in social tools – Facebook, Twitter, and e-mail. In fact, the Facebook integration is so streamlined, your friends can like your notebook without ever leaving Facebook. Want to increase your votes? Encourage friends to Like your Thanksgiving notebook on Facebook and Follow you on Springpad.com.
The three notebooks with the most Facebook Likes and Springpad follows will win a Breville Countertop Smart Oven.
The contest will close at 11:59 p.m. EST on Thursday, November 15, 2012. Winners will be announced on the Springpad Facebook Page on Friday, November 16, 2012.
Good luck and please comment if you plan on entering. Hurry, the contest only runs from November 1st to the 15th! Also, let us know so we can vote for you too!
Our Contest – Breville Immersion Blender Giveaway
To increase your chances of winning a cool Breville item, Springpad has sprung for a Breville Immersion blender for us to give away too! Immersion blenders are the new mixers…all the chefs on BRAVO use them! It was on the top of my husband’s wishlist for Christmas last year and Breveille makes one of the best. No need to hull out your mixer or blender with the Breville Immersion Blender, valued at $99.
Win it! CONTEST ENDED
To enter our contest, use our Rafflecopter contest repository below. Increase your chances to win by following the steps suggested. The more you do, the more entries you earn. We can’t wait to get you one of these great Immersion blenders before Christmas! Please note the contest is only valid for US citizens. Hurry, the contest ends November 22nd!
* I was given a Breville Immersion blender for participating in the Beautifully Organized Contest on Springpad and writing about the contest. In the process, I have become pretty intrigued with Springpad. You might too!
Not sure about the Pressman stuff but I know how I'd use the immersion blender first… it's soup season!
Yum, pumpkin soup would be really good right now.
I would like to get the iPieces™ Pool Game for our iPad.
abfantom at yahoo dot com
not sure if the rafflecopter has the right question, it asked which pressman ipieces game i would want, so my answer is air hockey.
but i would love to win the giveaway posted of a breville immersion blender!
Wish I could blame it on Rafflecopter, but, uh, that's my fault! Check out the previous article, Can You Really Play Pool on Your iPad…with Cues? https://wellconnectedmom.com/blog/2012/11/03/can-y… for a chance to win a Pressman iPieces pool table game…complete with cues!
I am sure you want us to make a comment about the blender not the ipiece apps? Looks like a super blender
Make Seven. (might be the wrong prompt?)
It would be GREAT for when I'm making my Jack Daniel's Glaze!

You bet, thanks for posting! Wow, that Pumpkin Pull Apart Bread on your board looks amazing! Good luck on the contest!!!!!
So many possibilities! Yogurt and fruit smoothies come to mind… a task made easier by the immersion blender 🙂

I would make my favorite Butternut Squash, Carrot and Ginger Soup. It's great on a cold day with crusty bread to dunk into this delicious soup. Yum!
Sounds great!
I would probably use it to puree different soups.
Soup sounds like something to create! I've longingly watched chefs put immersion blenders off into smoking hot dishes and want one of these babies.
Yes, that's what happened to my husband too!
My current immersion blender is wearing out and it breaks my heart! I use it for the soups that I make every week, as well as smoothies and sauces. I love to ensure many more years of good homemade blended goodies!
Nice, we have an immersion blender pro here!
I could really use something to help me make soups for the winter.
I would make smoothies. I have never owned an immersion blender but I have really wanted one.
