LG Appliance Euphoria at CES2015

appliance euphoria

This is a sponsored post

I just returned home from a long fun week at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.  There was so much to see there with wearables, 4K TV’s, 3D printers, mini drones, you name it!  One area of CES I always like to spend some time on is the newest innovations in appliances.  I always like to see what appliance makers will come up with next.

One company I spent quite a bit of time with was LG Appliances.  In particular I investigated their mega-capacity double door-in-door refrigerator and their new Twin Wash System + Mini Washer.

I have to tell you, LG’s new refrigerator is a dream come true, it’s appliance euphoria!  French door refrigerators are all the rage these days, and with good reason.  They offer you the opportunity to easily identify at eye-level everything you have in the fridge.  This LG Mega-Capacity fridge also offers a freezer compartment in french door style as well, it’s really a cool looking refrigerator.

But the LG Mega-Capacity refrigerator gets even more interesting with it’s door-in-door design.  Sometimes you just want to gap a snack or a drink but don’t need to open the entire refrigerator.  Did you know that the average American opens the refrigerator 28 times a day?  With a family of four that’s over 100 times a day cold air is dispensed from your refrigerator!

The Door-in-door feature conserves the cold air inside the refrigerator while you just grab something quick.  The Door-in-door compartment is completely enclosed, not allowing cold air from the main fridge to escape when opened.  Using the Door-in-Door feature will reduce cold air loss by as much as 47%.

But it’s not all about what’s inside the fridge.  The outside is equally impressive.  It comes with a contour processed, tempered glass applied over a curved glass, complete with a black patterned finish, that looks really cool…and is fingerprint resistant.

The new front-loading LG Twin Wash System + Mini Washer is something to talk about!  Believe it or not, the washer is a 2-in-1!  The washer comes in three sizes, a 5.6, 5.2, or 4.5 cubic feet capacity washer with an extra 1.0 cubic feet mini washer…in the pedestal!

This means you can load your normal wash in the main part of the washer and use the pedestal mini washer to wash your delicates, kids uniform, lingerie, blue jeans, new red shirts, cloth diapers, you name it!

I would also use the mini washer for my white loads.  I often have tons of color loads to do but it takes awhile to get a full load of whites.  I’d use the mini washer so I wouldn’t waste as much water to clean them.  And guess what?  Because it’s a self-enclosed pedestal, you can order a mini washer for your current washer!  Woohoo!

The Twin Wash systems also have a new Turbo Wash technology which will save up to 30 minutes per load by combining the Spin and Rinse cycles.

Wow, just think of the possibilities!  LG is listening to our desire for more energy-efficient products and ones that provide convenience and flexibility to our needs.  Although, quite honestly, I think if I owned the LG Mega-Capacity Double Door-in-Door fridge, I’d probably open it up more than 28 times a day…it is so slick! Can you say appliance euphoria???!!!
