Since its inception in 1997, Netflix has dramatically changed the way we rent movies and watch them. Remember all of the video stores that used to be on every corner? Sometimes you were lucky enough to find a $1 video rental store, but getting the most popular movies was always hard. I remember renting several movies for $1, what a bargain! Until…we forgot to return the movies and had to pay all those late fees! Eww, how I hated those late fees, they took the fun out of renting.
But Netflix changed all that. With their concept of “no more late fees,” people quickly flocked to their style of renting movies. Years later, Netflix would offer movie streaming and revolutionize the way people rented movies once again. Have you seen a video store lately? Blockbuster? My kids don’t know what Blockbuster is.
Netflix continues to dominate the movie streaming space with their push to offer 4k content. 4K shows and movies will be 4 times more highly detailed and realistic than our current Blu-ray standard! The 4K TV’s are already made, we just need more 4k content!
