CES 2020: 5 Great Gadgets for Moms

The world’s largest consumer electronics show, CES, is host to thousands of new product introductions each year. See which five products are our top 5 gadgets for moms.

CES 2020 just finished this week.  There is an amazing number of products I’d love to tell you about.  So many gadgets to make life easier.

I love the innovation of ideas you see at CES.  Some products tackle some serious problems like pain, rehabilitation, and depression.

While others, like the NeSSA mirror, help with the inconvenience of accidentally wearing the same outfit within a certain number of days!  Apparently it’s quite an issue in Japan.

Last year, at CES,  we saw some real innovation with regards to health.

Although I did see some strides made in health gadgets this year, most of the things we saw chose for this article are new rollouts of a previous product.  But they are innovative, nonetheless.

5 Top Gadgets for Moms

Muse S

With the busyness of our world, for most, the idea of stopping and meditating is not possible.

After all, who has the time to figure out how to meditate anyways?  And if you do try meditating, how do you know you’re doing it right?

The Muse S is a brain-sensing headband that can identify what your brain and body are doing.

Along with the app, Muse S is your personal meditation assistant that guides you through meditation scenarios of your choice.

The Muse S headband gives you real-time feedback on your brain activity, heart rate, breathing, and body movements to help you enhance and learn the best meditation method.

Does your mind relentlessly play back your day when your head finally hits the pillow?

The Go-to-Sleep Journeys in the app gives a biofeedback experience to shut-off busy minds and prepare you for sleep.

The app is full of included and optional experiences.  One of the ones I enjoyed was being in a field of lavender as far as the mind could see.

The app then guides you on what you are “seeing,” helping you to “take it all in,” while relaxing your mind.  I enjoyed the experience.

The all-new Muse S is available on the Muse website for $394.98 with free shipping.

GoBe3 Wristband

The Healbe GoBe wristband has been a favorite of ours for many years.  This year it has been updated with the latest and greatest technology.

This innovative gadget tracks your calories automatically.  That’s right, no more logging calories.

But it does more than calories. It also logs your water balance, stress and emotional state, energy balance, pulse, steps & distance, and your night sleep.  It’s a busy tracker!

Now 50% smaller than it’s previous design, the GoBe3 includes a touch screen, is waterproof, and comes in 3 colors.

The GoBe3 tracks glucose liquid secretion to determine calories burned.  It’s really an amazing tool.

The HealBe GoBe3 is not available yet but should be out in April 2020.  The price is unknown at this time.

Reliefband Premier Wristband

The Reliefband is another one of our favorite products.  The Reliefband helps to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting.

We tested the original Reliefband (still available) 3 1/2 years ago while cruising and it works amazingly well.

As we hit a rough patch in the middle of the sea with some turbulent waves, both my daughter and I were trading off the Reliefband to save us from getting sicker.

After just a few minutes of wear, we were no longer seasick.

At CES this year, I learned about the Reliefband Premier.  It has a rechargeable battery (as opposed to a coin battery).

The Reliefband Premier makes it easier to use on more occasions.  Use Reliefband for the prevention and treatment of nausea associated with:

  • Air-sickness
  • Car-sickness
  • Sea-sickness
  • Pregnancy
  • Post-operative surgery
  • Chemotherapy
  • Migraines
  • Anxiety
  • Hangovers

Wow.  So many uses.  Best yet, you can share the Reliefband with other members of the family or with friends.  The Reliefband Premier is simple to use.  No app required.

The Reliefband Premier is available from the Reliefband website for $199.99 with plus shipping.

Withings ScanWatch

Withings is another one of our favorite health companies – they have a lot of great gadgets for moms.

Every year they come out with innovative products that when used with the app, connect your health data together to give you a fuller picture of each family member.

I have long been awaiting their new product, the ScanWatch. This up and coming watch (pending CE and FDA clearance) will be able to detect atrial fibrillation and sleep apnea.

The Withings ScanWatchvanced device can record an electrocardiogram and measure oxygen saturation in the blood with a dedicated SPO2 sensor.

It can also notify wearers of irregular heartbeats during sleep.

At night, the ScanWatch is able to detect the presence of sleep apnea episodes with its SpO2 sensor.

It’s a truly amazing watch, one valuable for moms, dads, and grandparents.

It of course, also tracks steps, distance, and sleep.  It’s an all-in-one health watch, yet it is slim and lightweight.  Oh, and it only needs to be recharged every 30 days.

The Withings ScanWatch will hopefully be available for sale by June.  Prices range from $249 for the 38mm model to $299for the 42 mm mode, once approved.

Perfect YouCam Makeup

If you haven’t tried the YouCam Makeup app yet, you really must download it.

YouCam Makeup makes uses Augmented Reality (AR) to make trying different looks and hair color fun.

It’s like using Snapchat filters, but more personalized.

Best yet, YouCam uses actual products for you to “try on,” making it easier for you to buy the right shade at the store.

Try different shades of foundation, mascara, eye shadows, lipsticks, and hair colors.

There is also a Skin Score that takes a picture of your face and gives you an age score as well as scores on your spots, wrinkles, texture, and dark circles.

You can keep track of your Skin Score over time to see if your regiments have improved for your score.

YouCam makes product recommendations dependent upon the areas your score shows you need help.

Ever wondered what you look like with hombre hair?  With YouCam you can go crazy – choose whatever colors you’d like.

YouCam is a free app, with in-app purchases available for more advanced effects.  Just be careful, it could be your next addiction!
