Spring is in the air! In Southern California, we are beginning to see signs of Spring. Our trees are sprouting flowers, our hills are green, and flowers are popping up everywhere. With Easter occurring early this year on Sunday, March 27th, it’s time to get hopping in search of fun Easter decorations and baskets!
As a Walmart Mom, I often shop at Walmart for my everyday needs and Easter is no exception, it’s very convenient to pick up some nice Easter decorations there. I have never been happy with pre-packed Easter baskets. They seem so impersonal. Besides, they never include any technology in them, a mom tech must!
Last year I created an Easter basket with fun Springy orange PC Mouse for $24.38. My goal this year was to spend half the money but still end up with a nice looking Easter basket with one tech item. I checked out the Easter aisles in Walmart to see what I could come up with. If you haven’t been to Walmart recently, you should take a look. They have aisles full of fun Easter choices.
I loved seeing the variety of colors and Easter baskets at Walmart. They have some really beautiful baskets this year, and most under $6. As I was on a tight budget, I chose a fun plastic basket for $.98.
My kids can never have enough stuffed animals. They oooh and gawk at stuffed animals anytime they see one. And have you felt how soft stuffed animals are these days? They are hard to resist. Walmart has a whole assortment of stuffed animals in a variety of prices to fit your budget.
I needed to add just a little cuteness to my basket so I added a little lamb for $.98. Isn’t she adorable??? And she’s soooooo soft!
I was able to get some of my kids’ favorite candy to fill the basket. The Blue Raspberry Peeps were $1, the Starbursts jelly beans $1.98, and my personal fave, the Reese’s Pieces Eggs $1 Yum!)
But of course, we can’t forget about the tech! I love searching out cool little finds around Walmart. I found this personal 02Cool fan in the fan section, near the hardware area of Walmart. It’s perfect for hot Spring (and Summer!) days. I love how it directs the wind up towards your neck to keep you refreshed. We are planning on spending part of Spring Break in Yosemite and this personal fan will be a hit during our hikes! This necklace fan sells for $5.87 at Walmart.
