Is there an area in your house you just wish you had more light? Perhaps there are multiple areas. GE recently came out with a new product line called Enbrighten. Enbrighten is a patented LED technology that can brighten a room with amazing energy efficiency. GE boasts that you’ll never need to change the bulb, it’s so efficient.
GE Enbrighten is best described as portable lighting that can be placed anywhere you need light…either stationary in a room or, with the portable version, used as a handheld light device.
Where to Use Enbrighten
Our house is so well-lit, I was at a loss at first in how to use the motion-sensor and touch Enbrighten lights. I found a permanent spot for the plug/motion sensor Enbrighten light in my pantry.
In the past, I’d have to turn on the light switch every time I entered my pantry. Now, I walk into the panty, often times with my arms loaded, and the Enbrighten light shines the way for me! I also love it when I just need to grab one item from the pantry – I’m in and out in a flash with the motion sensor Enbrighten light.
I am using the touch Enbrighten light in my closet right now. Sometimes at night I need to go in there to put something away and so, instead of turning on the light, I can just touch my Enbrighten and see what I need to do.
Enbrighten is great for our workbench area in the garage as well. We often go to it to get tools, duck tape, etc. With the Enrighten LED light, we don’t need to turn on a switch.
I have also found the portable touch light to be helpful for up close work, like when working on jewelry, getting out a splinter, painting nails, etc.
If you’ve always wanted under the counter lighting, Enbrighten works great for this as well. Just walk up to the counter and the motion sensor turns it on.

A Mom’s Perspective
I have to say, these Enbrighten lights are handy. Sometimes you need some bright light on a project you’re working on…whether it’s behind your TV with all of those wires, looking under beds and furniture for your son’s favorite (and lost) stuffed animal, or some very precise painting work, it helps to have an extra light that can support itself with its own stand…as opposed to a flashlight that rolls around.
I think of the money I will save by using the motion-sensing Enbrighten light in my pantry…as well as the hassle of turning on the light each time. I’ve never thought much about the idea of portable light before (other than a flashlight), but these two Enbrighten lights can be used in a myriad of situations where lighting is needed. How would you use Enbrighten lights?
* I was given an Enbrighten Plug-In Motion-Sensing LED light and a Wireless Touch-Activated LED light in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.
