As a Fandango Family Ambassador, we’ve introduced you to the Fandango App already and how easy it is to buy movie tickets ahead of time. It’s also a great way to find information on upcoming movies – whether it’s reviews, movie times, movie trailers, or where the movie is playing… the Fandango app is your go-to app to plan your theater movies.
With the advent of the Apple Watch, companies, like Fandango, have been creating apps to make life easier. There is a lot of functionality already in the Fandango app, but the Apple Watch provides a way to make some of these app features more convenient.
To take advantage of the free Fandango Apple Watch app, we have highlighted the features here for you.
Fandango Apple Watch App
PURCHASE TICKETS
Wouldn’t it be great if you could buy tickets on your watch? Well, you can’t. However, to make this process easier, Fandango allows Apple Watch wearers to click on a link that says “Buy tickets on your phone.” This is a shortcut link that will take open up the app on your iPhone and take you to the page to buy your tickets. Definitely a time-saver.
CONFIRMATION
As soon as you buy your movie ticket using the Fandango app on your phone or from Fandango.com, you will receive a confirmation # to use at the movie theater to pull up your movie tickets. You’ll need this for the electronic kiosk’s many movie theaters have to print your tickets. Or, simply give the number to the box office and they will give your tickets.
The Fandango Apple Watch app shows you the movie time, theater phone number, theater location, and the theater’s amenities including reserved seating , dine-in options, and more right on your wrist!
UPCOMING MOVIES
You bought Fandango movie tickets on your app a few days ahead to ensure there would be a seat waiting for you on opening day. You can easily keep track of your tickets on your phone app or the Fandango.com website, but wouldn’t be easier if you could just click the Fandango icon on your Apple Watch and glance at your showtimes? The Fandango Apple Watch app makes it easy to see your showtimes rather than searching for the app on your phone to look them up.
COUNTDOWN
As added fun, Fandango provides a Count Time to Showtime screen to share in your excitement for your upcoming movie.
MOVIE TICKET ON YOUR WATCH
If the movie theater you bought your tickets from offers electronic ticketing, the Fandango Apple Watch app will display the QR code right on your wrist for the movie theater ticket taker can scan. Talk about easy!
BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE!
Just for some extra fun, the Apple Watch Fandango app will give you fun engaging movie trivia, including quote quizzes and fun facts…after you’ve seen the movie. Were you paying attention? I guess you’ll find out!
Fandango is planning more fun features like being able to quickly rate a film after viewing it to help others know the value of the film.
The Apple Watch Fandango app provides you with great shortcuts that automatically open the Fandango app for you, making using Fandango and buying tickets even easier. It also makes the Fandango app more convenient by having your tickets easily accessible on your wrist.
I know for me, I have over 50+ apps on my phone. Having shortcuts on my watch would cut through the clutter on my phone and get me to the info. I need right away. So handy!
