You may recall from a previous article, that I have just started my six month review of the Tria Hair Removal Laser. I have used the Tria Hair Removal one time and wanted to give you an update on how it felt and what I learned during the process. I will be writing updates periodically over the next six months to share my results with you.
The two areas I will be using the Tria laser on are my legs and underarms. I religiously shave my legs every week. Although I’ve seen stubble, I haven’t really let my hair grow past a week for as long as I can remember. So when I started growing out the hair on my legs to show you a “before” shot, I was surprised. I don’t have nearly as much black leg hair as I remember having in years past. Nonetheless, the black hair I do have is all in the front and whether I have 50 hairs or 1,000, my legs need to be shaved to keep them looking their best. So I can’t wait to see the results from using Tria.

Before Pics
Here is a picture of one of my shins before I began Tria:
I found that I have black hair on the front of my legs and a tiny bit if any blond hair on the back of my legs, so I can only use Tria on the front of my legs, which is fine by me. This picture is taken of the front of my shin, after two weeks of hair growth.
I also started the Tria process on the hair under my arms, which would make for great pics with lots of hair, but I chose not to share those with you, for your own benefit. Nonetheless, I really wanted to be able to show you a huge difference from the beginning of these six months to the end, so I asked my husband if I could report on his back. I am also using the Tria Hair Removal Laser on his back, to free him of the back hair he’s had to hide most of his adult years. Let me tell you, if the Tria Hair Removal Laser works, it will give him such great freedom to walk around in his bathing suit without embarrassment. No more shirts in the pool to cover up.
Here is a picture of the top of his back:
Now, according to the Tria website, you should expect up to a 70% reduction in hair re-growth after the second treatment. I can’t wait to see if his hair looks a lot less full. After 2-3 months of treatment, hair re-growth should be lighter and finer. After six months, hair follicles should be deactivated, which means no more hair!
How to Use the Tria Hair Removal Laser
Step One: Shave
Before you begin using Tria, you need to clean and shave the hair in your affected area. Make sure this area is nice and dry.
Step Two: Unlock the Laser
The Tria Hair Removal Laser has a safety-guard on it to ensure you use it correctly. After it is charged, to start Tria, press the button and unlock the laser by putting the sensor, (which is on the bottom of the laser), directly on the skin you wish to treat. It will unlock if your skin tone is suitable.
Step Three: Choose the Setting Best for You
The Tria Hair Removal Laser has several settings from level 1 to level 5. The higher the setting you use, the faster and better the results. However, you will feel the sensation of either a rubber band snapping on your skin or a warm, prickling sensation. You are advised to start at level 1 or 2 and progress to the number that feels the most comfortable.
When using the laser, I felt an occasional electrical jolts, at times. They didn’t hurt per se, but I could definitely feel it. I used level 3 for my legs and underarms. My husband felt a burning sensation and I found the laser would heat up and get hot at times. I just took it away from his skin and let it cool off. A fan seemed to turn on to help cool the laser when it got to hot. Now mind you, to do my husband’s back took about 40 minutes, as he has a lot of dense hair. It took less than10 minutes to do my legs, as I only focused on the front.
A Mom’s Perspective
* Tria sent me a Hair Removal Laser as a part of their Blogger Review program. I’m thrilled to be a part of this program but will write my articles based on my personal experiences and honest opinion of the product.
I am so curious to see how this goes! I hate shaving.
Me too!
Any new updates??? How is it working for you And your husband?!
Thank you for asking. I noticed about a 65% hair reduction under my arms, which I was most loyal in using the Tria on. But life got busy and my routine changed and I was less loyal in using the Tria after 3 mos. The process is not too consuming for under arms and legs, but for a back, it takes a long time. But now Tria has a newer version that is supposed to really cut down on the time it takes for follicles to fizzle out.
Laser treatments have no side effects, but hair can come back
even if the treatments have been done. That is not an issue, but rather some people
can regenerate hair, that is a natural phenomenon. For the people who
regenerate their body hairs, after the http://www.solihullmedicalcosmeticclinic.co.uk/
session can select other methods of laser hair removal.
