Selfies are growing up. Now, it’s not enough to just take a picture of yourself, but your family or friends too! But getting everyone in the shot is tough, your arm just isn’t long enough! And even if you do get everyone in the picture, forget trying to show the scenery behind you!
Beginning in 2007, XShot built their entire business on selfies. They were a pioneer in this industry, offering selfie sticks for cameras, long before our smartphones made selfies famous. My first XShot weighed 5 oz. Not too bad, but it was heavy enough that I didn’t take it everywhere with me. XShot’s latest selfie stick can extend up to 32 inches and is made of anodized aluminum, weighing a mere 2 ounces.

The XShot Deluxe Selfie Stick wireless Bluetooth remote makes this package deluxe. Unless your phone will take pictures when you say “cheese,” like Samsung phones, you’ll find it hard to take the picture when your smartphone is held up high. Sure, you can use your camera’s timer, but sometimes in a group shot, you don’t have a lot of time to spare.
Having the wireless remote allows you to take multiple photos quickly, without the painful delays of a timer. The remote clips onto your selfie stick and connects to your phone via Bluetooth. There are two buttons on the remote – one for Android and one for iPhone. This is handy because if you have an Android and someone else in your family has an iPhone, both smartphones can be set up via Bluetooth and ready to go.

As a surprise, Walmart arranged for a private meeting with Drew Barrymore where we had the opportunity to ask her questions and learn about her popular and value-based beauty and perfume line, Flower, at Walmart.

XShot is a reputable company based in Santa Barbara, CA by a man who needed a better way to take pictures of his wife and himself while traveling.
Now that the XShot Selfie Stick is so lightweight and can accommodate a phone or a camera, I take with me whenever traveling or covering a blogger event.
