If you’ve been reading my posts for a while now, you know that I have hosted a number of parties for MomSelect.com. MomSelect is a liaison between companies and moms and mom bloggers. MomSelect provides moms an opportunity to try product samples, take surveys, put on in-home parties, and participate in school and teacher programs. For mom bloggers, they provide local mom blogger events, opportunities to participate in online media campaigns, and other programs.
I have now hosted several parties for MomSelect, namely:
Our ZhuZhu Wild Bunch Prankster Party!
When the Crash is as Much Fun as the Race
Have you tried out MomSelect yet? If not, what are you waiting for? Sign up for the program and see what new opportunities come your way.
The latest party I hosted for MomSelect was a Toy Story 3 party for my son and his friends.
Now, believe it or not, my son had never seen any of the Toy Story movies. I thought this party would be a fun way to introduce him to the characters. I suppose it should have come to no surprise that my son absolutely LOVES Toy Story now. Ooops, I created a “want” where there was none before. I guess that was the intent of the party, huh?
MomSelect sent:
- 5 Action Link Stunt Sets, 1 of each variety. Each set came with at least one buddy figure. The five stunt sets included:
- Evil Dr. Porkchop Attacks
- Jessie to the Rescue
- Buzz Saves the Train
- Sunnyside Breakout Deluxe Playset
- Junkyard Escape Stunt Set
- 10 Buddy Packs – 1 pack for each child
- Recipes, Toy Story themed games, activities, and recipes for the party
The boys were so excited to see the Action Link Stunt Set boxes and buddy packs when they arrived. I decided to let the boys open the boxes (with adult help) themselves and build the sets. As the boys were mostly 5 years old, they did need the help of the adults to set up the action link stunt sets. It actually worked out well, as many of the parents enjoyed working alongside the boys to figure out how the sets set up.
The way the Action Link Stunt Sets work are through cause-and-effect. The stunts involve different Toy Story 3 characters who perform different stunts when an action button is pressed. There are typically three cause-and-effect stunts per set. You can imagine the chaos that ensues when 5 Action Link Stunt Sets are combined together! Both the kids and the the parents had a lot of fun with them.
It felt like Christmas around the house with toys and boxes everywhere! Throughout the party, the boys played with the Toy Story stunt sets. They are colorful, fun, and amusing. I even spied a couple of adults playing with them.
Days after the party, my son (and husband) were still playing with the stunt sets. Ideally, it’s nice to have a place in your house, like a playroom, where you can keep the action sets out to play with. Also, the Toy Story 3 Action Stunt Sets are designed so that you can mix and match different sets together to your liking – you don’t have to make it look exactly like what’s pictured on the box. This adds extra playtime as well as enlists your child’s creativity.
Needless to say the party was a smashing success and the boys loved going home with a Toy Story 3 buddy pack of their own. Well, I’m off to buy Toy Story 3 paraphernalia for my son for Christmas. Enjoy your Christmas with your family!
