If you’ve been following the WellConnectedmom.com, you know that I have embarked down a fun new trail in the realm of hair loss removal.  Tria Beauty products invited me to join other bloggers in the quest to get rid of our unwanted hair.  Tria reports that it takes 6 months of using the Tria Hair Removal Laser to remove your hair completely.  See this article to learn more about the Tria Hair Removal Laser.  I started my adventure on October 3rd: My Trial of Tria Home Laser Hair Removal – Week 1   It has now been a month since I started using the Tria Hair Removal Laser.  I am using the laser on my legs, underarms, and my husband’ back.  So far, I have used the Tria Hair Removal Laser on three occasions.  On each occasion, it is important to shave the area completely down, as I found it can be a little more painful if there is still visible hair on your skin. The laser works by sending a laser down into your hair follicle, deadening the root.  The sensation you feel with more dense follicles is like a burning sensation, but it only lasts seconds. As I mentioned in my last article, the Tria laser has the option to turn up the effectiveness of the laser or lower it, dependent upon what you can tolerate.  The range goes from 1 to 5.  The higher the level, the more pain you might feel, but the faster for your permanent hair loss to happen.  I have found that I can tolerate level 4 pretty well (I have worked up to this level) and my husband started at level 1 (his hair is much more dense), although the last time I upped him to level 2 and he seemed to take it well. My Learning’s Thus Far:

  1. As you can tolerate, increase the level higher on the laser during the six months so you can increase your effectiveness.  I believe with each treatment your tolerance increases.
  2. Ensure you have as clean a shave as possible, otherwise you will feel a burning sensation as the heat travels down your hair to the follicle.
  3. The laser tends to hurt a bit more when the hair you’re removing is condensed, meaning very hairy.
  4. It does not take as long as I thought it would take to use the laser on your underarms and legs.
  5. The laser does not work on blond hair, even if it sits alongside your darker hairs, as in the case of my legs.

The hair on my legs is rather sparse so it’s hard to measure the results.   Plus, I missed a laser treatment, so my progress will be slower on my legs.  This picture shows hair growth two weeks after using the laser for the second time.   However, judging from the hair under my arms, it definitely looks like the amount of hair has reduced by as much as 30% already!  Yeah!  This is really working!

It’s hard the progress on my husband’s back yet, as his hair is very dense and we have been using the laser at a lower level.  But I will continue to report back to you our progress.   The Tria Hair Removal Laser is available form TriaBeauty.com for $395 with free shipping.  Right now Tria Beauty is including a free Smooth Start Calming gel with purchase.
