What you would do with a mini LED projector? Small enough to fit in your pocket, perfect for outdoor movies, movies sleepovers, and more!
One of the fun things I saw at CES 2020 this year was a ViewSonic M1 LED Mini projector. It was small enough to put the projector in your pocket!
Measuring in at only 4″ x 4,” this cute colorful projector features a built-in battery, which lasts up to 2 hours.
If its battery is dying, no worries, you can plug in a portable charger to make it last for hours.
The ViewSonic M1 LED Mini Projector
The portability of the ViewSonic M1 LED Mini projector gives you more opportunities to entertain at a moment’s notice.
Use it to show…
- movies from your phone on the wall
- pictures taken during your vacation on the ceiling (while on vacation or at home)
- movies from your laptop while camping
- movies while floating around your pool at night
- your presentation at school or work
- your kids’ video game from the console on the wall
- images to trace onto posters, white sheets for backdrops for plays, or walls to decorate a child’s room
My daughter’s Odyssey of the Mind team actually used the projector to create a ship scene for their play, it turned out great.
I’ve tried small portable projectors before. The problem has always been the sound. They are bearly audible in a large room.
With its JBL speaker, the ViewSonic M1 LED Mini Projector did fantastically. I could easily hear the movie across our large family room.
I love that you don’t need to attach a Bluetooth speaker to hear it.
Here’s what the screen looks like when you turn on the projector. You can see the battery indicator in the upper right-hand side.
I used a USB drive, a phone, and a laptop (using HDMI) in testing the mini projector. All worked well but my favorite input was my phone.
When showing pictures, I can zoom in on my phone screen and the picture zooms in on the projected picture as well. It’s super slick.
Perfect for pointing out funny faces in pictures!

A Mom’s Perspective
I love the versatility of the ViewSonic M1 LED Mini Projector. First, it’s small enough to take with you on the go.
Second, you have multiple ways to project – from a USB, tablet, phone, laptop, and more.
Third, the projection is really nice. It’s not HD quality, but it’s a really nice picture. Vibrant in color and no distorted imagery.
Fourth, I LOVE that you can zoom in on the image shown in projection when using your phone or tablet.
Fifth, surprisingly, this mini projector does well with big images. Again, not HD, but the movie works well.
I projected a movie about 10 feet away with an image around about 8 feet in diameter and it looked really good.
The ViewSonic M1 LED Mini projector is perfect for families. It’s affordable and portable. Kids will love using it for sleepovers.
Now families can easily enjoy outside pool movies. And camping can be elevated with movie night.
Portability leads to possibilitywith the ViewSonic M1 LED Mini Projector.
