Several months ago, I read something about the Walmart Family Mobile Unlimited plans service<\/a>. \u00a0I noticed their cheap wireless plan pricing and thought it sounded like a great option for single service or family service. \u00a0Recently, I had the opportunity to shop myself for mobile service at Walmart to confirm that…<\/p>\n

1.) \u00a0the service was good throughout my city and beyond<\/span><\/p>\n

2.) \u00a0there are a variety of phone choices to choose from<\/p>\n

3.) \u00a0the pricing was really as good as I read about<\/span><\/p>\n

Phone Service<\/span><\/h2>\n

I have been a T-Mobile customer for over 10 years. \u00a0Although I have tried Verizon and AT&T on occasion, while testing different mobile phones, I am most familiar with T-Mobile and have been quite pleased. \u00a0So when I learned that Walmart Family Mobile’s network was based on T-Mobile, I already felt right at home. \u00a0I’m very familiar with the areas in my city where I get a good signal and where I don’t.<\/p>\n

Phone Choices<\/span><\/h2>\n

I was very pleased to see the number of choices the Walmart Family Mobile plans offer. \u00a0Many of the top phones are available to purchase with the plan and in fact, you\u00a0can even use a phone you already own. \u00a0You just need to call your mobile phone provider and ask them to unlock your phone. \u00a0Many companies will do this free of charge. \u00a0I called in to T-Mobile earlier this year to unlock our myTouch and Samsung Galaxy III phones when we were traveling internationally so we could insert other countries’ SIM cards.<\/p>\n
