Every year I attend the BlogHer conference (see 2012<\/a>, 2011<\/a>), which is a conference focused on female bloggers to hone their craft with regards to running their blog, choosing the best tools, figuring out the myriad of advertising options, or even speak about their experiences so other bloggers can learn. \u00a0The conference is also a great place to meet other bloggers and network with companies they would like to create a relationship with. \u00a0There’s nothing like meeting people face-to-face to jump start a new friendship or business opportunity. \u00a0Often times you know people only by their twitter handle, so meeting them in person makes the relationship more real. \u00a0See this CNN article on BlogHer that we are quoted in, “BlogHer13: \u00a0Where Everyone Knows Your Twitter Name<\/a>.”<\/div>\n

BlogHer is also a lot of fun as there are many parties sponsored by large companies, great food, and wonderful keynote speakers, such as Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook and Guy Kawasaki, known for helping to launch Macintosh in 1984 as well as a well-known author and speaker.<\/div>\n

Oh the fun! \u00a0Mark Hill<\/a> is a famous hair stylist in Brittian, he’s bringing his product over to the States through Walgreen’s. \u00a0I loved the smell and performance of his shampoo and conditioner…and Mark Hill (left) and his stylists were great too!<\/p>\n

Many people don’t know this about me, but for many years, I dreamed about working for the Pillsbury Dough Boy. \u00a0I never did because I couldn’t fathom taking on the cold of Minneapolis for this Southern California girl, but it was still a dream to meet him in person on the BlogHer conference floor!<\/p>\n

LazyBoy<\/a> had quite the party at BlogHer with well-dressed gentlemen adorning custom suits made from actual fabrics used on their LazyBoy couches and chairs. \u00a0It was a great party and I even found myself sipping a drink while reclining in one of their great lazy chairs!<\/p>\n

Lastly, thanks to The Mom’s<\/a>, I attended a Mamarazzi bash with a screening of the Smurfs and visits by them…in person? \u00a0Or should I say, in Smurf? \u00a0Complete with Build-A-Bear<\/a> party favors, this was a bash to remember. \u00a0I found Smurfs 2<\/a> to be very good, I was quite surprised for a sequel, and one I don’t mind at all watching again…this time with my kids!<\/p>\n

There’s so much more I’d love to show you. \u00a0Even still, some of what I experienced there you won’t see in pictures. \u00a0BlogHer does a great job of pulling together women bloggers and speakers covering numerous topics. \u00a0I felt inspired and rejuvenated, ready to take a look at WellConnectedMom.com and see what we can do to improve it. \u00a0Watch for changes coming soon.<\/p>\n
