line-height: 19px;\">This year, 4K TV&#8217;s only became bigger&#8230;and in many cases curved, to offer a more immersive viewing experience. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">The 4K TV&#8217;s are beautiful but there&#8217;s only 2 problems. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\"><strong>First<\/strong>, since they are new, they are expensive because there is not enough demand for the parts used to make them. \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\"><strong>Second<\/strong>, there is not content for them. \u00a0 Movie and TV production companies are only now beginning to use 4K cameras in their shoots, but most are not filmed in 4K. \u00a0Sony is one of the most progressive in filming with 4K. \u00a0They are preparing for this future. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">Nonetheless, in an article on\u00a0<\/span><a style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2014\/1\/7\/5285310\/sony-ceo-kaz-hirai-says-cloud-tv-wont-compete-with-cable-4k-adoption\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">The Verge<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">,\u00a0Sony CEO Kaz Hirai stated it would take anywhere from\u00a0five to seven years\u00a0for 4K sets to be widely adopted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Netflix in 4K Leading the Way<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Netflix caused such a stir because at the\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"line-height: 19px;\">LG Press conference, Reed Hastings, CEO of Netflix, re-emphasized their\u00a0<\/span><\/span>commitment<span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"line-height: 19px;\">\u00a0and enthusiasm for Netflix in 4K streaming, giving TV manufactures hope of 4K&#8217;s lasting future. \u00a0Netflix has been working with a number of TV\u00a0<\/span>manufacturers<span style=\"line-height: 19px;\">\u00a0to bring 4K content to consumers&#8217; homes. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Blu<span style=\"line-height: 19px;\">-ray discs are not large enough to hold \u00a04K content and Netflix does not believe consumers will won&#8217;t to upgrade their\u00a0<\/span>Blu<span style=\"line-height: 19px;\">-ray players. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"line-height: 19px; font-size: small;\">Netflix believes that streaming will be the best way to get 4K content into the house. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>To help lead this charge, Netflix has already begun filming some of their original programming in 4K format. \u00a0They have added seven 4K videos to their service in the past month. \u00a0Netflix&#8217; Emmy winner<a href=\"http:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2013\/9\/22\/4759754\/netflix-challenges-the-tv-establishment-with-emmy-wins-for-house-of\">\u00a0<em>House of Cards<\/em><\/a>&#8216; second season will launch in 4K and made available during the second quarter of this year. \u00a0They plan on launch a fuller 4K offering next year. \u00a0As stated by Reed Hastings,\u00a0\u00a0\u201cWe want to be one of the big suppliers of 4K next year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Netflix is well poised to lead the charge to produce and stream 4K streaming through their own studios and with their partnerships with other TV companies and production houses. \u00a03D TV didn&#8217;t make it, but Netflix is banking on the fact that 4K TV&#8217;s will. \u00a0By leading the charge, consumers will be drawn to Netflix content first, giving Netflix a major foothold on the market while linear TV companies (CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX, Bravo, etc.) try to catch up.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>TV companies have created their own field of dreams with 4K TV&#8217;s&#8230;and hoped &#8220;if they build it, they will come.&#8221;
