I just love going to the Consumer Electronics Show in January. \u00a0Every year I find some cool and unique products that we would have missed knowing about if I didn’t go. \u00a0This year was no exception. \u00a0The LUNA <\/a>is one of products that we found and loved, so we put it in our article, Valentines Day Gifts for the Loves of Your Life<\/a>.<\/span>\u00a0 The LUNA is a skincare care product, made by FOREO. \u00a0No, FOREO’s skincare line is not about lotions or serums. It’s all about a revolutionary way to clean and care for your face with the aid of technology.<\/p>\n

The LUNA is the first of its kind cleaner, with its touchpoints made from smooth, soft silicone. \u00a0It uses T-Sonic (transdermal sonic) pulsations to gently soothe your face while unclogging your pores from make-up, dirt, and oil and removing dead skin cells.<\/p>\n

Using technology for skincare is not new. \u00a0Clarisonic is a popular tech skincare product using oscillating nylon bristles, but the bristles can be harsher to the skin and are prone to bacteria growth. \u00a0In fact, it’s because of this growth that Clarisonic recommends that you replace your brush head every 3 months…at $25 a head! \u00a0I viewed a number of YouTube reviews comparing Clarisonic to LUNA and found that in each of them, they complained that their skin broke out badly when they first started using Clarisonic. \u00a0Eventually, the breakouts stopped. \u00a0This was not the case with the FOREO Luna.<\/p>\n

Because LUNA’s touchpoints are made of silicone, they are non-porous, and do not hold on to grime and bacteria which can cause further duress to your face. \u00a0The FOREO LUNA is extremely hygienic. \u00a0And because the touchpoints are so durable, you’ll never need to replace the heads, like you need to do with traditional oscillating brushes.<\/p>\n

FOREO has thought of everything. \u00a0You don’t ever need to replace the battery, because a rechargeable one is built right into the LUNA. \u00a0In fact, the battery is touted to last for up to 450 cleansing routines. \u00a0FOREO recommends that you use the LUNA for two minutes in the morning and two minutes at night, which means your LUNA won’t need to be charged for at least 200 days, that’s more than 6 months! \u00a0Very cool.<\/p>\n

The FOREO LUNA Tech Skincare Routine<\/span><\/h2>\n

The LUNA has two modes:<\/p>\n

1. \u00a0Cleansing Mode<\/strong> – for a deep cleansing of your face<\/p>\n

2. \u00a0Anti-Aging Mode<\/strong> – to help promote blood circulation to wrinkle-prone areas (yeah!)<\/p>\n

To begin, FOREO recommends that you remove your make up, dampen your face, and apply your regular cleansing product. \u00a0Put some water on the LUNA and follow FOREO’s instructions. \u00a0They recommend a four zone cleaning process in which you should spend 15 seconds on each zone. \u00a0Fortunately, the LUNA will tell you when 15 seconds is over and it’s time to move to the next zone.<\/p>\n

First you start from your chin and use upward strokes to your cheeks. \u00a0Repeat with other side<\/p>\n

Next you start at the center of your forehead and clean outwards on the right side of your forehead. \u00a0Repeat with other side.<\/p>\n

Lastly, you gently move the LUNA up and down as you clean around your nose and than the tip. \u00a0Then you gently clean the under-eye region of both eyes using outward strokes.<\/p>\n

Anti-Aging Mode<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The LUNA uses lower-frequency pulsations to massage areas of your face that are most likely to wrinkle. \u00a0These pulsations help to decrease the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, resulting in firmer and smoother looking skin. \u00a0To begin your anti-aging routine, rotate the LUNA to the backside, where you’ll see gentile ripples.<\/p>\n

In the anti-aging stage, you use the top of the LUNA and you simply press the LUNA on one of 5 recommended areas for 12 seconds. \u00a0Just like in the cleansing mode, the LUNA will indicate to you when 12 seconds is over.<\/p>\n
