href=\"https:\/\/wellconnectedmom.com\/blog\/2013\/07\/24\/dieting-armed-with-knowledge\/\" target=\"_blank\">BodyMedia<\/a>, Garmin, Pulse, Lifeband, <a href=\"https:\/\/wellconnectedmom.com\/blog\/2014\/04\/30\/considering-the-samsung-galaxy-s5\/\" target=\"_blank\">Gear Fit<\/a>, the list goes on.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Believe it or not, even Nintendo has a fitness tracker now! \u00a0Nintendo Wii U wanted to be a part of the action but make it relevant to what they are best at&#8230;video games! \u00a0So Nintendo created a fitness tracker they call the <a href=\"http:\/\/wiifitu.nintendo.com\/fit-meter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Wii U Fit Meter <\/a>and it works with <a href=\"https:\/\/wellconnectedmom.com\/blog\/2014\/02\/12\/new-year-new-fitness-routine-with-wii-fit-u\/\" target=\"_blank\">Wii U&#8217;s Fit game<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">The Fit Meter is a circular pedometer you wear on your waistband. \u00a0It has a large rectangular grey screen which depicts&#8230;<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>your Wii avatar<\/li>\n<li>calories burned (takes into account intensity of activity)<\/li>\n<li>steps taken<\/li>\n<li>feet climbed (detects attitude changes)<\/li>\n<li>how much time you&#8217;ve been active<\/li>\n<li>temperature in the room\/or outside if your outside<\/li>\n<li>a chart showing your altitude throughout the day<\/li>\n<li>a graph depicting your exercise activity throughout the day<\/li>\n<li>weekly calories<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>Wow, that&#8217;s a lot of info! \u00a0But it gets even better.<\/div>\n<div><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" balance as well as strengthen your muscles. \u00a0And believe me, you can get quite a workout using Wii U Fit!<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">Some of our favorite exercises include &#8220;jumping&#8221; on a trampoline, racquetball, and a snowball fight! \u00a0See our previous review of the <\/span><a style=\"font-size: 13px;\" increasing your physical activity at home.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><strong>Pros<\/strong>:<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>At $19.99, the Fit Meter is one of the lower priced pedometer on the market<\/li>\n<li>Utilizing the Fit Meter with the U Fit game and Balance Board, there is a wealth of information including your weight, BMI, Fit U gaming exercises, and now exercise\/walking outside of the game<\/li>\n<li>You don&#8217;t even have to use the Wii U to check your daily steps<\/li>\n<li>If you don&#8217;t check in with Wii U Fit, the Fit Meter stores data for at least a week so it can be transferred later<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>Cons<\/strong>:<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>The Fit Meter does not have a rechargeable battery. \u00a0You will need to replace it in about 3-6 months<\/li>\n<li>The Fit Meter only shows you daily info., you cannot see the previous day&#8230;or even week&#8217;s info.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Fit Meter is available from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.walmart.com\/ip\/Nintendo-Wii-U-Fit-Meter-Nintendo-Wii-U-Nintendo-Wii\/30913802\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Walmart.com<\/a> for $19.99. \u00a0I ordered it online and it was sent to my door within the week with standard shipping. \u00a0It arrived sooner than the promise href=\"https:\/\/wellconnectedmom.com\/blog\/2014\/02\/12\/new-year-new-fitness-routine-with-wii-fit-u\/\" target=\"_blank\">Wii U Fit game<\/a> and showed how much fun it was to work out and improve our balance. \u00a0My husband took right to it and began wearing the Wii Fit Meter that came with the Wii Balance Board. \u00a0Now I have one too.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">As the weather is warmer here in Southern California, we want to start walking more. \u00a0I walk 3-5 times a week in the morning, but my husband needs some more coaxing. \u00a0I&#8217;m
