In May, I shared with you what we have in our Netflix Queue<\/a>. \u00a0I love the Netflix queue, it’s like a Pinterest<\/a> for movies…a holding spot where I can “pin” the movies I want to watch someday…when I have time. \u00a0The queue makes it more fun to browse movies and add more relevant movies to my queue. \u00a0I always have a long list of movies and TV shows in my queue, but like Pinterest, I’m always on the prowl to see what I may have missed that I’d love to see one day. \u00a0 Besides, Netflix is always adding more movies and TV shows, it’s hard to keep up!<\/p>\n

You have probably heard of the Rotten Tomatoes website<\/a> or app before. \u00a0It’s a great site where people like you and me and rate a movie. \u00a0You can even sign up to become a critic and give your own quotes about a movie. \u00a0It’s a great resource to see whether a movie is worth seeing or not. \u00a0You can look up movies that are about to release (and see the rating of the number of people wanting to see the movie) as well as movies from years past. \u00a0There’s even an area within the movie review section that tells you whether the movie is available on Netflix or not.<\/p>\n

Although Rotten Tomatoes is a great resource, it can get tedious searching to see which movies are on Netflix. \u00a0There’s got to be a better way! \u00a0Well, now there is and it’s called A Better Queue<\/a>. \u00a0A Better Queue is a website with built-in filters that uses Rotten Tomatoes ratings to help you find Netflix movies that suit your liking.<\/p>\n

A Better Queue Filter<\/span><\/h2>\n

To select the types of movies you’d like to see, you can use the A Better Queue filter to select which type of movies you’re interested in, the range of years a film was made in, how many reviews are behind the rating, and the actual Tomatometer rating itself. \u00a0You’ll get additional results if you loosen up your filter, like lowering the rating or the number of people behind a rating.<\/p>\n

Kids Movies<\/span>\"better<\/h2>\n

Here I selected appropriate movies for kids. \u00a0This A Better Queue list came up with 12 movies for kids, with many of them in the upper 80’s and 90’s percent rating. \u00a0We have seen some of these movies, but not most of them. James and the Giant Peach, a Disney movie, is one that came up, I was excited to add it to my queue. \u00a0I loved that book as a child. \u00a0I’ve never seen The Secret of Kells before, but it looks interesting. \u00a0Clicking on the Tomatometer percentage will take you directly to the Rotten Tomatoes website.<\/p>\n

Now you can read more about the story line, see it’s G rating, find out who’s in it, when it came out, and more. \u00a0I love the ability to easily get to the Rotten Tomatoes site or Netflix, right from within my A Better Queue search.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Faith Movies<\/span><\/h2>\n

My husband and I are always looking for good Christian films to watch. \u00a0Wow, I didn’t realize The Passion of the Christ was on Netflix! \u00a0I remember watching it in the theaters, so chilling. To find more Christian type films on Netflix, like Fireproof and Unconditional, you need to lower the number of reviews. \u00a0I found 30 faith films by lowering the number of reviewers to zero.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Comedies<\/span><\/h2>\n

\"better\u00a0Watching comedies is one of my husband’s and my favorite pastimes. \u00a0We have been pleasantly surprised with some of the lesser known movies on Netflix. \u00a0And by looking at these Tomatometer ratings, these lesser known movies have received high praises from their Rotten Tomatoes movie\u00a0raters.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Romantic Movies<\/span><\/h2>\n

\"better<\/p>\n

Romantic movies are another one of my favorites. \u00a0I love that you can see Titanic on Netflix, that was a great movie. \u00a0And who has ever heard of Certified Copy? \u00a0But apparently, it’s rated equally as good as Titanic! Much Ado About Nothing was a movie I wanted to see when it came out, but then I forgot about it. \u00a0Time to add it to my queue!<\/p>\n

\u00a0All Genres<\/span><\/h2>\n

If you’re not sure what type of movie you’re in the mood for, just click all the genres you’re interested in, but with a high Tomatometer score. \u00a0You’ll still get plenty of choices, perhaps a number you’ve never heard of before, but with really good ratings. \u00a0I’ve been wanting to see Food, Inc.<\/p>\n

Clicking on Food, Inc., brings me right to Netflix in my browser. \u00a0I was able to easily add it to my Netflix queue. \u00a0You can also see the reviews of this documentary by other members to get a better feel of the movie and who is in it.<\/p>\n

So there you have it, another great (and more accurate) way to add quality, high rated movies to create a better queue in your Netflix queue. \u00a0Try out A Better Queue<\/a>\u00a0and see what you think. \u00a0Let us know if you find a movie that you’re dying to see!<\/p>\n
