Last month I signed up to host a Zhu Zhu Pet Party from MomSelect as a part of their introduction of the new Wild Bunch Zhu Zhu Pets.\u00a0 The Wild Bunch represents 4 new Zhu Zhu Pets modeled after a skunk, raccoon, bunny, and hedgehog.\u00a0 Sounds like fun, I thought, but little did I know what was in store for me.\"Introducing....The<\/p>\n

On an ordinary day, I received a box full of 11 Wild Bunch Zhu Zhu Pets.\u00a0 My daughter was in \u201chedgehog\u201d heaven!\u00a0 Already a big fan of Zhu Zhu, she ran to get her own Zhu Zhu pets to make the introduction to the new Wild Bunch.\u00a0 She couldn\u2019t wait to take them out of their packages.<\/p>\n

Instead, I suggested she pick one that she likes the best and begin thinking of who she\u2019d like to invite to the Wild Bunch party.\u00a0 Our list comprised of 11 kids- exactly the number of Zhu Zhu pets we were sent.\u00a0 My daughter was excited and a little disappointed.\u00a0 She had hoped that she and her 4 year old brother would both get to keep two pets.\u00a0 Perhaps someone wouldn\u2019t show up\u00a0she thought!<\/p>\n

W\"Choosinge had our party last Friday.\u00a0 Everyone showed up and several moms told me how excited their kids were to come to a Zhu Zhu Pet party.<\/p>\n

To make it fair in choosing which pet each child would receive, my daughter had everyone pick a number out of a hat.\u00a0 The person with the lowest number started first.\u00a0 This method would have worked out perfectly had the last ZhuZhu Wild Bunch Pet to be picked wasn\u2019t pink and the last child to choose,\u00a0a boy!\u00a0 Fortunately, his sister traded with him.\"Wild<\/p>\n

Packaging flew everywhere as the kids raced to open their pet and\u00a0get to know its fun personality.\u00a0 We promptly wrote the name of each child on the bottom of their pets \u2013 expecting mayhem if we didn\u2019t.\u00a0 We were forewarned about the craziness of the Wild Bunch.\u00a0 Apparently, they are more zany than their former cousins.\u00a0 Each Wild Bunch Zhu Zhu Pet has a patch on its back, makes funny noises, and either has longer ears or hair than previous Zhu Zhu Pets.\u00a0 They have a lot of spunk and they carry it well!\u00a0 \";)\" LOL<\/p>\n

With the Zhu Zhu Wild Bunch Pets all selected, we were ready for a race-off to see which of these zany new pets were the fastest.<\/p>\n

Ready to Race!<\/span><\/h2>\n

We gathered everyone up to see who was ready for a big race!<\/p>\n

\"Go!\"<\/p>\n

MomSelect sent a bucket of colored sidewalk chalk as well.\u00a0 Armed with the chalk bucket, we wandered outside for races and graffiti on our driveway.\u00a0 I have to tell you, the Zhu Zhu Wild Bunch races were a hoot!\u00a0 From previous experiences with Zhu Zhu Pets, they often don\u2019t go in a straight line.\u00a0 But during this event and\u00a0the Wild Bunch did great at racing.\u00a0 To my surprise, they went from the top of our driveway to the bottom with minimum direction or pressing their buttons to make them move again after stopping.<\/p>\n

It was so fun to see the kids cheer on their Zhu Zhu Pets.\u00a0 The kids had such enthusiasm, excitement, and at times\u2014desperation!\u00a0 What a great activity \u2013 every child no matter what age was involved and having fun.\u00a0 I even spotted some of the parents wanting to get involved in the action as well.<\/p>\n

After all that racing, the troops were hungry, so we brought everyone indoors for pizza, pasta, chicken, and carrots.\u00a0 Healthy, huh?<\/p>\n

A Mom\u2019s Perspective<\/span><\/h2>\n

What great\u00a0 fun we had!\u00a0 My daughter and son have had their Zhu Zhu pets for over a year now.\u00a0 They have five of them in total \u2014 now seven!\u00a0 I can see where Zhu Zhu Pets are even more fun to play with your friends.\u00a0\u00a0I love toys like ZhuZhu pets, that encourage interaction, creativity, and community.\u00a0 Any toy that engages my children and inspires them to use their imagination to do different things is a winner in my book.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s funny to say, but I think the Zhu Zhu Wild Bunch Pets actually had magical powers to tame because after hours of playing at the party, all of our \u201cwild bunch\u201d was zonked out!\u00a0 Now,\u00a0to me,\u00a0that\u2019s the best \u00a0measure of\u00a0 success for a party!<\/p>\n

No Zhu Zhu Pets were harmed (too seriously) during the filming of\u00a0this Wild Bunch Prankster party!<\/p>\n
