\n Every year, I order more and more online, it’s efficient, more fun than facing lines at the stores, and takes less time.  But sometimes I find an item that’s perfect for the kids, but I don’t have enough items in my shopping basket to qualify for free shipping.  <\/p>\n

Sure, I could wait a little longer and perhaps I’ll think of more things to add to my shopping cart in the coming week, but by then, the original item I wanted may no longer be in stock (this has happened to me a few times before.)<\/p>\n

I buy a lot of my presents and clothes online at Walmart<\/a>.  They offer a huge variety of products at low prices, so I can be more generous with my gift giving with the money I save.  Recently, I wanted to buy my kids the Disney Infinity 3.0 Sadness character from the Inside Out movie.  I didn’t see it in stores, but found it at Walmart.com<\/a>.  <\/p>\n

Currently, Sadness<\/a> is on Rollback for $12.22, a 12% savings…a good deal…but still well below the $50 free shipping limit.  So I decided to use the free Walmart Pickup<\/a> service.  I ordered Sadness online and had her shipped to my local Walmart store.  I’ve used the Walmart Pickup service in the past and have found it quite handy.<\/p>\n

But now, the Walmart Pickup service has really “picked up” since the last time I used it.  Walmart has made it easier than ever to use their service.  Here’s how it’s improved…<\/p>\n

    Finding Walmart Pickup in Your Store<\/span><\/h2>\n

    The Walmart Pickup in my store is in the middle of the very back of the store.  A couple of years ago, it took me a while to realize it was back there.  \"\"<\/p>\n

    When I went recently, I found it much more obvious!<\/p>\n

    While I was picking up Sadness in the Walmart Pickup area, there were two other customers already there using the Pickup service too.  Word is getting out!<\/p>\n

    Walmart Pickup App Notifications<\/span><\/h2>\n

    Being a techie, I loved this feature.  If you haven’t already downloaded the Walmart app<\/a>, do it today!  It’s free and gives you all sorts of great advantages like easily tracking your Walmart Pharmacy <\/a>prescriptions, giving you an effortless way to feel confident you’re saving money versus other stores through Savings Catcher<\/a>, and allowing you to scan products you find without a price tag.<\/p>\n

    But now, when I have my Walmart app open and I walk into the store, after being notified via email that my Walmart Pickup order is ready, I receive an alert asking me to check in for Walmart Pickup.<\/p>\n

    Once I click on the Check-in, the associates in the Walmart Pickup area know I have arrived and will go in the stockroom to retrieve my package.  In the past, retrieving my package has taken up to 5-8 minutes.  When I make it to the Pickup area, there could still be a line for other customers wanting their Pickup’s too, but for me it will go faster because my item is waiting for me behind the counter.  Love it!<\/p>\n

    A Mom’s Perspective<\/span><\/h2>\n

    Walmart Pickup is a free service and can be used on any value of product(s) you purchase through Walmart.com<\/a>.  In the past, I have had gifts that qualify for free shipping on the website, sent to Walmart Pickup instead, so I could pick up the items while the kids were at school.<\/p>\n

    There’s nothing worse than when my kids’ gifts land on the front porch and my kids ask endlessly, what is it…and watch to see where I put the boxes.  Walmart Pickup eliminates their insatiable curiosity!<\/p>\n

    With Walmart, there’s no need to pay for shipping.  Walmart Pickup is a time and money-saving way to get your gifts and pick them up on your own time schedule.<\/p>\n
