I love my Yoga 2 laptop<\/a>, and it’s lighter than any laptop I’ve ever had before.  But when it comes down to it, it still can be heavy, especially when toting it around the airport or at a conference.  I need a simpler solution so I can just take my tablet and a keyboard so I’m not weighted down the whole day.<\/p>\n

The Wekey Keyboard is a new product that caught my attention.  It’s extremely lightweight, no seriously, it’s only 5.29 ounces!  And it’s durable.  If it gets knocked around, dropped, or even stepped on, it will still work.  The Wekey Keyboard takes care of my top two concerns – heaviness and the worry to keep a keyboard protected when traveling so the keys don’t wear out.<\/p>\n

Wekey Keyboard On The Go<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Wekey Keyboard is made of a flexible circuit board so it can withstand some abuse and still keep on working.  This means that I can throw it unprotected in my crowded backpack and not worry about it.  And it’s water resistant, so if I spill my coffee or water on it during my cramped airplane travel time…I’m still good!<\/p>\n

The WeKey Keyboard uses Bluetooth to connect to your devices.  So I can connect it to my laptop, desktop PC, Android tablet, iPad, iPhone, or my Android Samsung Note 5.  In fact, you can pair the Wekey Keyboard to stay paired with 3 of your devices at all times.  Simply switch to the device you want to on the keyboard and begin typing.<\/p>\n

I can see how handy this would be on a plane.  I can type up emails on my phone, sitting on the tray while I use my keypad on the tray or on my lap.  Or during a meeting when I’m presenting from Powerpoint, I can keep my laptop on the table, but use the Wekey Keyboard to change my slides.  I can even use the Wekey Keyboard to take a group selfie from my laptop, tablet, or phone.<\/p>\n

I noticed that the Wekey Keyboard battery is large at 600 mA.  This means that I will rarely need to charge it – perhaps only a few times a year, if I only use 4 hours a day.  Though I don’t see using the Wekey Keyboard everyday – I prefer the touch and feel of a full-size keyboard.  <\/p>\n

But I do keep it in my backpack, ready to go at a moment’s notice.  It’s so thin and lightweight, I can take it anywhere and have the flexibility of having it with me, just in case I need type up something (much easier than the little keyboard on my phone!)<\/p>\n

The touch takes some getting used to.  Although the keys are slightly raised, there is no physical indication that the key has been pressed.  You can hear an audible beep though every time a key is touched.  This can be helpful…or annoying.  Fortunately, there is a way to turn down or off this sound.<\/p>\n
