As moms, we all have those moments when we identify the first signs of a fever.  We touch our child’s skin and instantly know s\/he is warm.  We wonder how high is too high?  When did I give him ibuprofen? <\/p>\n

When we do take our child into the doctor, the doctor asks about the fever; when did it start?  What medication have you given him?  How often? <\/p>\n

Now you can effortlessly track your child’s temperature, record medications, and get recommended medical advice all with the Withing Thermo thermometer <\/a>and corresponding app.  <\/p>\n

What is Withings Thermo?\"thermo\"<\/span><\/h2>\n

Withings Thermo is the newest in medical technology.  It is the simplest, least invasive way to get an accurate body temperature, at all stages of a fever.  The thermometer has had many changes throughout the past few decades.  I remember having to hold that old stick thermometer under my tongue for a minute. <\/p>\n

Then came the ear thermometer.  It was much better than the old mercury ones, but it could still be difficult to get a small, sick child to hold still long enough to get a reading.<\/p>\n

We’ve reviewed a thermometer patch, Temp Traq<\/a>, which is so helpful to track fevers in sleeping children.  However, the newest thermometer, Thermo, is the hottest <\/em>item for moms in the midst of cold and flu season. <\/p>\n

The Thermo uses 16 infrared sensors to take over 4,000 measurements as you swipe the thermometer across your child’s forehead.  Starting in the center of the forehead, you sweep away toward the temple area.  Thermo displays your child’s temperature in either Celsius or Fahrenheit. <\/p>\n

The Thermo App<\/span><\/h2>\n

If that was all that the Thermo did, it would still be a great product.  However, when you combine that with the Thermo app (Google<\/a>, Apple<\/a>), it paints a complete picture of your child’s illness.<\/p>\n

 After downloading the Thermo app, you are able to import users from other Withings applications.  I have to admit, that was pretty cool.  Then, you can add the rest of your family members. <\/p>\n

When you take a temperature, you receive a notification on your app to log it under a specific family member.  You can also mark down other symptoms your child is having, as well as any medications you give.  <\/p>\n

Additionally, you can seek medical advice based on the symptoms and the temperature.  Thermo supports up to 8 separate family members. <\/p>\n
