Nyne<\/a> (pronounced like the number nine) has come out with a line of rugged portable speakers that won’t disappoint.  The Rock portable speaker boasts 65 watts of power, 2 midrange speakers, 2 tweeters, AND a subwoofer.  That is a lot of sound! <\/p>\n

I have tested out this portable speaker in a variety of elements and locations including poolside parties, camping at the beach, and my least favorite, in my son’s bedroom!  \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Connecting to the Rock<\/span><\/h2>\n

Connecting your smartphone to the Rock portable speaker is a snap.  You can connect via Bluetooth, NFC, or through an audio cable<\/p>\n

When your friends call while you are in the pool – you can tell them to hurry up and join you – all without leaving the pool. <\/p>\n

The speaker has a built-in lithium chargeable battery that lasts up to 12 hours, so you can take the Rock on the go. <\/p>\n

It even comes with a 3.5mm audio cable and 4 interchangeable worldwide charging plugs. <\/p>\n

Where We Took the Rock<\/span><\/h2>\n

I already mentioned that my son has tried to steal this speaker for his own room, but we have taken it with us and found many uses for it. <\/p>\n

Not only did the Nyne Rock portable speaker hold up to sand and water at the beach, but it is a great speaker for yard work and poolside. <\/p>\n

We used the Rock portable speaker at sports practices and found it handy for tailgating.  In each of the locations, we had great sound. <\/p>\n

The Rock speaker even has a built-in handle for easy carrying and weighs in at just over 12 lbs.  We don’t have to worry if the speaker takes a tumble or gets wet. <\/p>\n

I even connected my Rock to the TV for a boost to my surround sound!<\/p>\n
