Looking for a fun kids alarm clock for your child (or your inner child) that packs a lot of punch? We first saw the Divoom Timebox Clock at CES<\/a> in January earlier this year and loved it at first sight. Why? The colors drew us in. Not the color on the outside of the clock but on the display screen of the clock.<\/p>\n The Timebox screen is made up of 121 small squares that can display pixel art using up to 256 colors. Timebox comes packaged with a number of fun pixel art images and animations where images move. As you can see from the picture below, you can choose all sorts of pre-designed pictures from the Timebox app.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Timebox gives kids the opportunity to make the Timebox their own colorful kids alarm clock. If your kid loves Mario, s\/he can design Mario. Sports fan? Design a baseball. <\/p>\n My son loves cows so he designed his own cow face. He had a blast making is own animations with the Design Tool in the app.<\/p>\n Simply choose the color and draw your design with your fingers using the boxes in the app. It’s fun and your child will get instant gratification, as the design displays on Timebox as s\/he creates it. Cool, huh?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n There are so many features of this cool kids alarm clock, let me highlight a few for you here…<\/p>\n Oh, and it’s rechargeable, so you can take it anywhere you go and not worry about needing a plug. A kids alarm clock that can do more than a typical alarm clock, this is great. <\/p>\n My son likes to sleep in our room on the weekends. Now he takes his clock with him.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Timebox is available from Amazon<\/a> for $59.90 including free shipping. The smaller version, the Timebox Mini, <\/a>is also available from Amazon for $49.90 with free shipping.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n What I like about both the Timebox and Timebox Mini is that they don’t take much space on a table. They are small, leaving room for books and other things, so the table isn’t cluttered.<\/p>\n All of the alarm clocks I’ve given my kids before have been hand-me-downs. The Timebox is a great kids alarm clock is well suited for my kids with its colors, customization, and a wide variety of alarm clock scenes to choose from.<\/p>\n It’s the perfect alarm clock for our app interactive world, a world our kids have become accustomed to.<\/p>\n The ability to play music from my kid’s tablets is really nice too. There are a lot of Bluetooth speakers available, but having a speaker multi-function as an alarm clock too is very practical.<\/p>\n If you buy a Timebox for your child, you can deter him\/her from playing with it at nighttime by taking away his\/her tablet. Otherwise, your child might spend hours playing with it!<\/p>\n My 11-year-old son spent a lot of time designing new pixel art, he loves how easy it is to create animations and display them on his Timebox. He now has a library of his own custom designs in addition to the ones that come with Timebox.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Timebox, of course, isn’t only geared towards a kids alarm clock. Imagine having one on your desk at work and changing the picture to an emoticon according on how you feel? <\/p>\n There’s even a built-in baby (and a child planner) where you can receive reminders to feed your baby, put her to sleep, or give her water. It starts with suggestions for these events and you can add or delete as needed.<\/p>\n And since it’s rechargeable, you can take your Timebox from home to office, inside to outside easily and wirelessly. Use Timebox for the sleep timer at night to help you relax for sleep or as background music\/sound for meditation. <\/p>\nDivoom makes both the Timebox and the Timebox Mini. Both similar in terms of features with the exception of the Timebox being larger, having better sound, and it has a FM radio. The Mini Timebox, however, uses less battery consumption than the larger one, so the battery lasts longer.
