Here are some Coronavirus resources to keep in mind.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I like to keep a check on the spread of the Coronavirus on a daily basis.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Not because I&#8217;m fearful of catching the Coronavirus, because I am fascinated by how one virus can overtake and disrupt classrooms, events and gatherings, sports, marching band competitions, cities, states, countries, and literally the world.<\/p>\n<p>As I am writing this article, I received word that my daughter&#8217;s high school and son&#8217;s junior high school are now closed for the next 3 weeks (one of which is Spring Break).<\/p>\n<p>Do we have any outbreaks in our local county? No, thankfully.&nbsp; But we are next door to Los Angeles and Orange Counties, where cases have been identified.<\/p>\n<p>Our school board doesn&#8217;t want to take the chance of it spreading throughout the school district.<\/p>\n<p>Our church is closed for the next two weeks.&nbsp; Concerts, competitions, and sporting events canceled or postponed.&nbsp; International school trips canceled.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>What does this all mean?&nbsp; A lot of Family Time!&nbsp; More time for board games.&nbsp; I even bought some toilet paper, though not much.&nbsp; We don&#8217;t need a lot.<\/p>\n<p>But I&#8217;ve been told other grocery stores are a mess with long lines and shortages.&nbsp; I think I was lucky with my timing.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There are plenty of websites you can go to for Coronavirus symptoms and tips for disenfecting.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The resources we list here will help you with shopping and keeping tabs on the virus&#8217; spread.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Coronavirus Resources<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Groceries<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>I recommend you look into buying your groceries online.&nbsp; With Amazon&#8217;s purchase of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/b?ie=UTF8&amp;node=17235386011\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Whole Foods<\/a>, you can get some great quality food there.&nbsp; Other grocery retailers have online groceries you can purchase from.<\/p>\n<p>Personally, I have used and will use:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.samsclub.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sam&#8217;s Club<\/a> &#8211; with their plus membership you get free shipping and 2% back on all purchases<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.costco.com\/grocery-household.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Costco<\/a> &#8211; free shipping if over $75<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/grocery.walmart.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Walmart<\/a> Grocery Online &#8211; just became available in my area.&nbsp; You order online and schedule an appt.&nbsp; They will meet you at your car and load your car up with your ordered groceries.&nbsp; No extra fee.&nbsp; Trust me, this is the BEST way to shop Walmart!&nbsp; Centers for Disease Control and Prevention<\/a> &#8211; this page is helpful for preparing your family for the virus and getting your household ready.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/experience.arcgis.com\/experience\/685d0ace521648f8a5beeeee1b9125cd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WHO (World Health Organization) Dashboard<\/a> &#8211; helpful for getting the latest on the number of people identified as having Coronavirus and those who have died per country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2020\/world\/coronavirus-maps.html?action=click&amp;pgtype=Article&amp;state=default&amp;module=styln-coronavirus-jt&amp;variant=show&amp;region=TOP_BANNER&amp;context=storyline_menu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New York Times<\/a> &#8211; has a live Confirmed Cases counter by country as well.&nbsp; Their numbers are higher than other websites.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2020\/us\/coronavirus-us-cases.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New York Times Map<\/a> &#8211; a great up-to-date overview of the virus and how it&#8217;s infecting various states.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/world\/2020\/01\/22\/mapping-spread-new-coronavirus\/?arc404=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Washington Post<\/a> &#8211; has interactive maps of the virus for the United States and the World.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/time.com\/5800901\/coronavirus-map\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">TIME <\/a>&#8211; I love their chart, halfway down the page which shows <strong>recoveries<\/strong> of the Coronavirus per country.&nbsp; There are over 60,000 recoveries in China!<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>State Health websites<\/strong> &#8211; like this one in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdph.ca.gov\/Programs\/CID\/DCDC\/Pages\/Immunization\/nCoV2019.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">California<\/a> are helpful in assessing the numbers of people affected and how they think the virus was spread.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Country websites<\/strong> &#8211; I searched my county website to find out if there were any Coronavirus cases.&nbsp; Fortunately, there are none (so far).<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>School Board websites<\/strong> &#8211; California has over 250 people infected.&nbsp; Ohio has 5.&nbsp; Both states have areas where schools and colleges have closed down.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There is no shortage of websites out there with the latest in news and statistics.
