Want to save the environment while schlepping your stuff around? This eco backpack from Lenovo is made from 34 water bottles.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

In celebration of 50 years of Earth Day<\/a>, Lenovo introduced their “green” or moss green Lenovo Eco Pro 15.6″ Backpack<\/a>.  <\/p>\n

It’s a beautiful looking backpack made of the equivalent of 34 water bottles and other recycled materials.<\/p>\n

In fact, 83% of its weight came from recycled materials.  <\/p>\n

To make this backpack, Lenovo took the plastic water bottles and recycled them into pellets, which were melted and spun into yarn.<\/p>\n

This yarn was woven to form the pack\u2019s fabric, lining, and trim. <\/p>\n

Think about it, one backpack is made from 34 bottles, that’s a lot.  Let’s say Lenovo produced 100,000 of these backpacks, worldwide.  <\/p>\n

This means that Lenovo saved 340,000 water bottles that might have ended up in landfills and\/or waterways.<\/p>\n

Ecowatch reported on a North American study that found in 2016, 22 million pounds<\/a> of plastic goes into the waters of the Great Lakes each year.<\/p>\n

Americans alone went through 50 billion plastic water bottles last year. <\/p>\n

Lenovo has found a great way to recycle these bottles into a striking metro minimalist style backpack with many great features.<\/p>\n

A Versatile Eco Backpack<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Lenovo Eco Pro 15.6″ Backpack is sturdy and resourceful.  I love backpacks with a lot of pockets and this one comes through.<\/p>\n

The problem, however, with a lot of pockets is that you forget where things are. <\/p>\n

What I like about this eco backpack is that it opens wide enough to easily see pockets in each compartment.<\/p>\n

It’s not a dark hole to find things.<\/p>\n

You can easily see where your laptop and tablet are stored.  Both pockets are lined with soft unabrasive material. <\/p>\n

There is also space here for folders, writing pads, and more.<\/p>\n

Again, you can see here how the zipper unzips to nearly the bottom of the backpack so you can see what it contains inside.<\/p>\n

Interestingly enough, Lenovo placed the pen holder and office supply organization pouches in the first zipped compartment of the backpack instead of accessible from the front.<\/p>\n

At first, I wasn’t sure about this, but the front two pouch pockets are handy for storing tech easily – like headphones, phones, battery chargers, a wallet, keys, etc.<\/p>\n

I hate it when I’m at the airport and I had to shed all my tech gear – my phone, watch, Fitbit, ear pods, headphones, etc. and quickly put them away in my backpack.<\/p>\n

Having front pockets like this make it easy to shed and retrieve my tech after security.<\/p>\n

Little features are scattered throughout this eco backpack, like this sunglasses strap.  Smart and handy. <\/p>\n

You could also thread your connected wired ear pods hear or any other cords to keep them from dragging.<\/p>\n

Another favorite feature is the hidden pocket on the back of the Lenovo Eco Pro 15.6″ Backpack.  It can conceal your passport, money, school ID, diary, etc.<\/p>\n
