The DEEBOT T5 is an affordable AI mop and vacuum robot with programmable boundaries.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Our family has two Maltipoo sister pups that we adore.  I chose Maltipoos because they were not supposed to shed.  <\/p>\n

One looks like a Maltipoo and the other more like a Poodle.  Well, the Poodle doesn’t shed, but the Maltese does. <\/p>\n

There is always white fur collected at on the tile near our baseboards on a daily basis, though I am the only one that seems to notice.  LOL!<\/p>\n

But not anymore.  With the ECOVACS DEEBOT T5<\/a>, this handy mop and vacuum robot make these furballs disappear. <\/p>\n

ECOVACS<\/strong><\/p>\n

The T5 is the newest addition to the ECOVACS product line.<\/p>\n

ECOVACS is an innovative company.  I first found out about them when I saw their WINBOT in action.  It’s a window cleaning robot and it works! <\/p>\n

They focus only on cleaning robotics and own all of their own R&D and manufacturing, enabling them to offer their products at reduced prices.<\/p>\n

What makes the DEEBOT T5 even better is that it can multi-task.  It can mop and vacuum your floors at the same time!<\/p>\n

I haven’t seen a robotic vacuum before that can do both.  In fact, ECOVACS states that it thoroughly cleans, removing up to 99.2% from floors.  Wow.<\/p>\n

Just think, you no longer need to vacuum the floor before you mop now.  In fact, you no longer need to vacuum or mop the floor yourself!<\/p>\n

DEEBOT T5 Mop and Vacuum Clean<\/span><\/h2>\n

The DEEBOT T5 used its laser precision to map out my entire first floor.  It also collected a lot of dirt and dog fur. <\/p>\n

I ran it every other day and each time I was surprised by how much dirt and hair is collected.  I had no idea my floors were that dirty.<\/p>\n

With the DEEBOT T5, the floors get cleaned much more frequently than when I was doing it. <\/p>\n

Most of our downstairs is a tile floor, it’s a big job, but not for DEEBOT!<\/p>\n

Now, I don’t see the furballs collected along the baseboards like I used to. <\/p>\n

There’s no need to sweep my tile floors anymore, DEEBOT is doing it for me with its whirling side brushes.<\/p>\n

But what about if you need a quick clean up from the flour that dropped all over the floor when your kids were baking?<\/p>\n

No problem.  Grab the app and in Custom Clean Mode, you can draw a box around the area you’d like cleaned and DEEBOT will get right on it.<\/p>\n

This mode is perfect for a clean sweep under the dinner table as well.<\/p>\n

Automatic Sweeping<\/h3>\n

You can set up a weekly schedule to have Deebot T5 start-up and vacuum the floor.  I set mine to clean every other day at 7am. <\/p>\n

DEEBOT continues to clean until it’s done or its battery is almost discharged.  It then returns to its station to charge.  <\/p>\n

Once it’s done charging, DEEBOT heads out again, right to the spot it was last in.<\/p>\n

Everything is so automatic, you almost forget to clean out the dust bin in between cleanings.  Fortunately, the DEEBOT app reminds you with a notification.<\/p>\n

After a number of cleans, the DEEBOT T5 creates a map of your house using its laser precision mapping to can for walls and obstacles.<\/p>\n

You’ll see the image in the ECOVACS app.  It’s really quite amazing.<\/p>\n

But it gets better.  You can actually draw boxes around the areas you’d like the DEEBOT to avoid.  <\/p>\n

I have a couple of areas with a lot of exposed extension cords and another area with my dogs’ bowls.  <\/p>\n

I drew a box around these areas so DEEBOT avoids them.  A number of times my DEEBOT T5 got stuck under the sofa, so I drew a box there too.<\/p>\n

The DEEBOT T5 can detect carpet and it will add a higher suck when it cleans it.  DEEBOT can easily climb up and down off low pile carpets.<\/p>\n

This was the dustpan after the first cleaning.  I was shocked, not at the dog fur, but at the little pieces of dirt it collected.<\/p>\n

Mopping<\/h3>\n

I love that the DEEBOT T5 can mop and vacuum at the same time, albeit the vacuum mode will have a lower suction while mopping.  <\/p>\n

To mop, pull out the front-facing 240 mL reservoir and fill up with water.  No cleaning solution is needed for a 99.26% clean.  <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

With the reservoir full, your DEEBOT T5 should be able to cover 2,000 square feet, dependent upon which water flow level you choose.<\/p>\n

After adding the water reservoir, add the washable mopping pad.  It fits underneath DEEBOT in the front and snaps on.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The app allows you to adjust the water level during mopping to your desired amount. <\/p>\n

I chose the default, medium level, but you can also choose low, high, and ultra-high for lots of water.<\/p>\n

When DEEBOT detects a carpet, it will avoid carpet when mopping.<\/p>\n

After cleaning about 700 feet, DEEBOT announced I should change its mopping pad.  I also received a notice on my app.  <\/p>\n

Mopping is best for smaller jobs or for when you are around to clean the pad.<\/p>\n

After the DEEBOT is done, you’ll receive a notice to remove the pad and empty the water.  And yes, the pads are washable so you can reuse them.<\/p>\n

The mopping leaves a clean water trail behind but it dries pretty quickly.<\/p>\n
