{"id":5931,"date":"2012-02-04T20:52:23","date_gmt":"2012-02-04T13:52:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wellconnectedmom.com\/blog\/?p=5931"},"modified":"2012-02-04T20:52:25","modified_gmt":"2012-02-04T13:52:25","slug":"leave-your-camera-at-home-you-dont-need-it-anymore","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wellconnectedmom.com\/blog\/leave-your-camera-at-home-you-dont-need-it-anymore\/","title":{"rendered":"Leave Your Camera At Home &#8211; You Don&#8217;t Need It Anymore"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #888888;\">by Lori Cunningham<a href=\"https:\/\/wellconnectedmom.com\/blog\/2012\/02\/04\/leave-your-camera-at-home-you-dont-need-it-anymore\/250x270_1\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5941\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-5941\" title=\"250x270_1\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wellconnectedmom.com\/blog\/p-content\/themes\/atahualpa342\/images\/articles\/2012\/02\/250x270_1.png?resize=250%2C270&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"270\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I have reviewed a lot of Android phones but I have finally found the Android phone for me &#8212; the new HTC Amaze. \u00a0Each Android phone has a bit of it&#8217;s own personality, but when you boil it down, they are pretty similar to one another. \u00a0The same is true with the Amaze&#8230;with one exception&#8230;this phone takes the BEST pictures I have ever seen on a phone. \u00a0Truly, there is no comparison &#8211; the pictures come out sharper, clearer, and with more contrast than any other phone I&#8217;ve tested.<\/p>\n<p>The video comes out great too. \u00a0We just recently moved. \u00a0We went back to the old house to give the new owner their keys and I decided to take the kids up to their old rooms to say &#8220;goodbye.&#8221; \u00a0I had no worries that I didn&#8217;t have my camera because I knew the\u00a0pictures\u00a0and video I captured of the kids that day would turn out great&#8230;and they did. \u00a0I also took many pictures whiles at the <a href=\"https:\/\/wellconnectedmom.com\/blog\/2012\/01\/18\/the-consumer-electronics-show-ces-2012-in-pictures\/\" target=\"_blank\">Consumer Electronics Show (CES)<\/a> using the Amaze. I took my camera with me, just in case, but found I didn&#8217;t need it, the Amaze did great.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Camera Scenes<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t read this on T-Mobile&#8217;s site until I began writing this article, but T-mobile says that the Amaze <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>&#8220;offers our latest most advanced camera of any smartphone.&#8221;<\/em><\/span> \u00a0I believe it. \u00a0The Amaze is the first smartphone I&#8217;ve used that offers manual ISO and white balance adjustments. \u00a0The Amaze also has some great options to choose from when shooting a picture:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>SmartShot<\/strong> &#8211; capture an array of shots combined to create the best photo of everyone smiling &#8211; LOVE THIS!<\/li>\n<li><strong>SweepShot<\/strong> &#8211; capture landscapes by\u00a0holding\u00a0camera steady and rotating to capture panoramic\u00a0scenes<\/li>\n<li><strong>ClearShot HDR<\/strong> &#8211; capture objects in bright settings so that your photos don&#8217;t result in high light contrast<\/li>\n<li><strong>BurstShot<\/strong> &#8211; capture multiple shots in a quick burst so that you don&#8217;t\u00a0miss\u00a0the perfect photo &#8211; when I think back to how many pictures I missed because my camera didn&#8217;t have this feature!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Night<\/strong> &#8211; capture\u00a0photos at night so that your pictures appear crisp in low light<\/li>\n<li><strong>Macro<\/strong> &#8211; capture\u00a0objects\u00a0up close so that you can capture each minute detail of the\u00a0object<\/li>\n<li><strong>Portrait<\/strong> &#8211; capture\u00a0an individual so that the subject is sharp and in focus and the background is blurry<\/li>\n<li><strong>Manual<\/strong> &#8211; nice looking, not cheap<\/li>\n<li>Can run multiple programs at once with no issues<\/li>\n<li>Programs and menu items move fast\u00a0thanks to the Snapdragon S3 chipset processor (learn more about Qualcomm processors at <a href=\"https:\/\/wellconnectedmom.com\/blog\/2011\/08\/28\/my-bountiful-days-at-blogher-days-three-four\/\" target=\"_blank\">My Bountiful Days at BlogHer Days 3 &amp; 4<\/a>).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Cons<\/strong><\/span>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>No tripod mount connector<\/li>\n<li>Battery doesn&#8217;t last long enough &#8211; though it could be due to the many pictures I take!<\/li>\n<li>Slightly heavy<\/li>\n<li>Charger cord is not a traditional mini USB, so it doesn&#8217;t work with all mini USB connectors for charging\/data transfer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 11px;
