\n<\/span>In our Valentines’ Gift Guide,\u00a0Valentine’s Day Gifts for the Loves in Your Life<\/a>, we recommended the Isotoner SmarTouch gloves. \u00a0I have been using Isotoner’s smarTouch gloves for about 1 1\/2 years now and I love them. \u00a0I first wrote about SmarTouch gloves<\/a>\u00a0towards the end of 2010, about two months before I was to attend the Toy Fair in NYC<\/a>\u00a0…\u00a0which was\u00a0wintry\u00a0cold, by the way. \u00a0I LOVED having theSmarTouch gloves because they kept my hands warm and I was able to check my appointments and e-mail during the\u00a0trade show. \u00a0I remember walking around Times Square with my family in the evenings and seeing all of the lonely gloves of NYC – where someone dropped one glove, totally unaware – and there it sat on the ground…missing. \u00a0I wondered if there was a “department of lonely gloves” somewhere. \u00a0I felt badly for those people who had lost a glove, as I could see it happens quite a bit in NYC.<\/div>\n

One day, my right glove met the same fate. \u00a0It just up and disappeared after a long day the Toy Fair. \u00a0I went to Lost and Found at the Jarvis Convention Center, but to no avail. \u00a0Bummer. \u00a0Now my glove was lost somewhere out there like all the rest. I was\u00a0truly\u00a0bummed because I knew that no other gloves would do but smarTouch gloves. \u00a0Due to the busyness of my trip, I walked around with one glove over the next couple of days. \u00a0Once I returned home to California, I went back to my trusty leather gloves, but I couldn’t maneuver around my touchscreen phone or iPad. \u00a0It didn’t take long and the hot weather returned to Southern California. \u00a0I’d forgotten about my smarTouch glove…until…winter came back. \u00a0Fortunately, Isotoner found out about my predicament about the previous year and sent me a new pair! \u00a0Yippee!<\/div>\n

Stylish<\/span><\/h2>\n

SmarTouch gloves come in a variety of colors: purple, red, orange, pink, blue, grey, and black. \u00a0You can also get them in a warm fleece or leather fabric. \u00a0Most of the color styles have black in them as well, which helps hide the dirt.<\/p>\n

Construction<\/span><\/h2>\n

A lot of thought went into making these gloves. \u00a0The palm and underside of the gloves are decked out in a rubberized webbing which makes it easier to hold your phone, especially in slippery conditions such as rain or snow. \u00a0The top of the SmarTouch gloves utilize special waterproof material so your hands don’t get soaked like\u00a0regular\u00a0fleece gloves too. \u00a0Yet, the side of the fingers are fleece, which is very soft if you need to rub your nose I noticed. \u00a0Isotoner really did think of everything.<\/p>\n

Warmth\/Comfort<\/span><\/h2>\n

SmarTouch gloves are made with and lined with fleece, so they’re very warm. \u00a0They fit your hand very well and with the bunch at the top of your wrist, they look stylish and help keep cold drafts away from your hands. \u00a0At the Consumer Electronics Show<\/a>, I found a pair of SmarTouch gloves with an even softer lined fleece (above), which looks like a stuffed animals fur…it feels even softer. \u00a0It’s really pure bliss to put them on your hands.<\/p>\n

Touchscreen Genius<\/span><\/h2>\n

Of course, I love the fact that I can use my phone’s touchscreen to check appointments, e-mail, check into Foursquare, tweet, and update my Facebook status. \u00a0The gloves utilize special silver threading on the thumb and forefinger to use your smartphone. \u00a0You would think that the rubberized webbing on the other fingers would work on the phone too, but only the silver threading on the two most used fingers you use for a smartphone work.<\/p>\n

Isotoner SmarTouch gloves come in both women’s and men’s sizes. \u00a0SmarTouch gloves run from\u00a0$13 up to $35<\/a>\u00a0depending upon the fabric.<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0The SmarTouch gloves are one of my all-time favorite mom-tech items.<\/p>\n
