During my time at the Consumer Electronics Show last month, I went to an event hosted by my fave blogger network, the Clever Girls Collective<\/a>. \u00a0These ladies are smart and really know how to connect brands with bloggers. \u00a0At their event for tech bloggers, they featured Sony’s new Bloggie Live camera<\/a>. \u00a0Each of us were given a new Bloggie Live*, which hadn’t even been released to the public yet. \u00a0We were all elated and we began snapping lots of pictures. \u00a0What fascinated me with the new Bloggie Live was the fact that it was Wi-Fi enabled and allows you to stream your video footage live to a Qik account. \u00a0That means that anyone can watch your streaming live from their computer, tablet, or phone by checking it out on your Qik account (can be marked private or public). \u00a0Now that’s slick!<\/p>\n

Why the Flip Never Did it For Me<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Flip became immensely popular due to its ease of uploading pictures – just stick the fold-out USB \u00a0stick into your computer and begin uploading. \u00a0No cords to deal with. \u00a0The Flip did a tremendous service by adding convenience to uploading pics and really pushed businesses along to understand the consumers’ need for convenience. \u00a0What I didn’t like about the Flip was that it only records video. \u00a0Still pictures cannot be captured unless you crop a picture from the video, which is time-consuming and confusing.<\/p>\n

I returned my Flip to Costco and went over to Radio Shack to buy the dual camera SANYO Xacti<\/a>, which shoots both video and pictures. \u00a0Although not as convenient as the Flip, due to needing a cord to upload, it is a great camera. \u00a0Unfortunately, Panasonic bought SANYO and I’ve been told they will no longer be making the Xacti. \u00a0So I’ve been in a\u00a0quandary\u00a0as to which camera to recommend to moms…until now. \u00a0The Sony Bloggie Live comes with huge conveniences such as a flip out USB arm, Wi-Fi uploading capabilities, direct posting to social sites, a built-in light, live video streaming, and great clarity with its 12.8 mp camera, and full 1080p HD video capabilities.<\/p>\n
