Start the Party, Save the World, now that’s a mouthful for a game title! \u00a0Start the Party, Save the World is a fun new family game available by download only for the PS3. \u00a0It’s the second\u00a0iteration\u00a0for the Start the Party series and utilizes the PlayStation Move camera and controllers to put yourself in the action.<\/p>\n

The premise of the Start the Party, Save the World game is to “save the world” from Dr. Terrible who pops up in different places reeking havoc and turmoil\u00a0wherever\u00a0he goes. \u00a0Your mission is to save people, fish, patients, robots, and more from Dr. Terrible’s\u00a0mischievous\u00a0deeds. \u00a0You are the hero as you undo the terror and confusion Dr. Terrible dishes out.<\/p>\n

My kids and I have had a lot of fun trying out the 20 games. \u00a0There are all sorts of challenges that make competing with a friend or playing by yourself fun.<\/p>\n

You begin the game by choosing a Hero. \u00a0Then you take a picture so that your face replaces one of the faces above.<\/p>\n

Here’s my sailor suit Hero, after completing a task. \u00a0The personalization of faces makes the game more engaging and fun.<\/p>\n

This is one of my favorite games where you hold a fishing pole with a magnet at the end and you need to save the people in metal diving suits at the bottom of the ocean. \u00a0Obstacles make it hard to pull your divers up on the boat.<\/p>\n

Here’s another fishing type game where you get a grappling hook and you need to catch the fish Dr. Terrible has turned into evil fish. \u00a0If you look carefully you can see my camera as I took this shot!<\/p>\n

The geek in me loved this game where you put on missing parts on a robot assembly line. \u00a0As the game progresses, the production line speeds up making it a challenging game but one of accomplishment seeing all the robots you’ve helped put back together.<\/p>\n

In this game, you’re on a train ride and you need to knock off these\u00a0varmints\u00a0that keep attacking the train. \u00a0They’re pretty fast so you need to have a fast response time.<\/p>\n

In this game, patients fly from the sky and you need to catch them in your big hand that extends from the vehicle. \u00a0Your goal is to keep them steady and safe until you reach the end. \u00a0If you drop a patient, more will fall down from the sky. \u00a0You simply adjust your motion controllers slightly to keep patients safe.<\/p>\n

This is a nerve-wrecking game in which you need to save people from rooftops away from this vicious monster by flying your helicopter to them so they can jump onto your ladder. \u00a0If you don’t get to a person in time, the monster picks up the little person and drops him into his mouth. \u00a0This game does seem to make my 9-year-old daughter anxious.
