I am THRILLED to announce that Kazaana <\/a>(formerly PixyKids) will be sponsoring my trip to BlogHer ’12 in NYC! \u00a0Kazaana debuts in early August (perhaps sooner, I’ll let you know!) and it is destined to be one of the best online communities for kids between the ages of 6-12.<\/p>\n

Kazaana is a social and creativity platform where kids can create their own digital space, accessorizing their online living abode to match their personality and dreams, and share their own content with mom-approved friends. \u00a0Kids can join Kazaana\u00a0\u00a0and customize their space on their own, and then, with parental consent, they can start to create and share content. \u00a0Kazaana\u00a0 is COPPA<\/a> compliant and kids’ safety if of their utmost concern.<\/p>\n

Great care was taken to make the Kazaana\u00a0\u00a0community graphically appealing and exciting to kids. \u00a0Even the avatars are created using a 3D rendering, similar to what you see with the Mii’s on Wii. \u00a0TheKazaana\u00a0 3D avatars are the first 3D avatars to appear in any online community. \u00a0It is Kazaana\u00a0‘ desire to make their community fun and relevant to today’s tech savvy kids and\u00a0user-friendly for parents.<\/p>\n

An online community like Kazaana\u00a0\u00a0gives kids the opportunity to connect with their friends and family despite their limited mobility (when Mom the taxi is off duty). \u00a0Kazaana\u00a0 allows kids to add parents, grandparents, cousins, and other extended family members to their network. \u00a0Kids can send video chats to family members and friends all within the safe walls of Kazaana\u00a0. \u00a0Kids will want to stay connected to family members because of the inherent fun of sending video messages and links to their latest artwork, school projects, and anything and everything special and unique to them. \u00a0Kids create their personalized digital art portfolio through the use of Kazaana\u00a0‘ interactive tools and apps.<\/p>\n

I am grateful to Kazaana\u00a0s for greatly reducing my expenses to fly from Los Angeles and stay in NYC, which can be a costly endeavor. \u00a0Kazaana\u00a0 is committed to mom bloggers and it’s their desire to see mom bloggers grow with them as their online presence increases.<\/p>\n
