While at BlogHer ’12<\/a> last month, one of my favorite products I found on the expo floor was the Tria \u00a0Hair Removal\u00a0Laser<\/a>…for the home! \u00a0I couldn’t believe it that you can now conduct laser hair removal in the comfort of your own home! \u00a0No extensive doctor visits, no expensive procedures, and no more inconveniences of scheduling time to attend a series of laser removal appointments.<\/p>\n

The Tria uses the exact same diode laser found in professional lasers, it’s the real deal. \u00a0The Tria Hair Removal Laser permanently removes your hair after a series of treatments. \u00a0Just after two treatments, you will already see results, but for best results they recommend a six month treatment period. \u00a0And guess what? \u00a0It’s cordless! \u00a0I love it!<\/p>\n

Tria, The Company<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Tria company\u00a0started in 2003 by the people who invented LightSheer, which is the ultimate hair removal standard for in-clinic hair removal. \u00a0Their goal was to find a way to make LightSheer, which at the time\u00a0was contained in a machine that weighed 120 lbs. and cost $100k, into a portable handheld laser, easy and safe enough to deliver the same results at home. \u00a0After many trials, Tria Beauty got approval from the FDA to begin selling the Tria Hair Removal Laser in the USA. In 2011, Tria launched their 3.0 version of the Tria Hair Removal Laser, which incorporates the latest technology, quicker treatment times, and stellar precision.<\/p>\n

Going Hairless<\/span><\/h2>\n

I’m excited to report that Tria Beauty chose me to take part in their Blogger Review Program, which takes place over the next 6 months. \u00a0I will be using the Tria on my legs and under arms and sharing the results with you every month so you can see the progress along with me (although I probably won’t post pics of my underarms, who wants to see that???) \u00a0Tria recommends that you use the Tria laser twice a month for six months to achieve the best results. \u00a0Before each session, I will be shaving and then begin the treatment. \u00a0According to their website, it should take about 20 minutes each session to complete my legs. \u00a0The laser will target the root of each hair follicle and disable it from growing hair again in the future.<\/p>\n

The instructions said that I should notice considerably less hair even after 2 treatments. \u00a0I’m so excited to get started, just think, within six months I’ll never have to shave my legs or underarms again. \u00a0It’s hard to fathom!<\/p>\n

I’ve never priced out laser hair treatment below, but from the limited pricing I’ve seen online, it costs thousands of dollars. \u00a0According to the Tria website, you can see what the average cost is per area of hair removal. \u00a0Ouch!<\/p>\n

Speaking of ouch, you may be wondering, like I am, if there is any pain in the laser hair removal process. \u00a0 It differs for each person, but the instruction manual likened the process to a rubber band being snapped onto your skin. \u00a0Now we both know, it all depends how close that rubber band is to you and how far it’s stretched to know how much it will hurt. \u00a0So, that being said, I will let you know. \u00a0I will be starting the process in a week and will write about my first experience in 2-3 weeks.<\/p>\n
