You might recall a couple of months ago I told you about MomSelect.com<\/a>, a website that brings together moms and manufacturers to stimulate mom’s conversations based on products they like.\u00a0 Recently, MomSelect.com<\/a>\u00a0offered an opportunity to try out a new inexpensive toy for kids called\u00a0 Marble Racers<\/a>.\u00a0 I knew right away, anything that lights up would bring lots of excitement in my household.\u00a0 So I signed up to review the Marble Racers<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0 The very next day I was alerted that I was chosen to participate in the program.\u00a0 Interestingly enough, within an hour of being notified, I had a package\u00a0 at my door!\u00a0 Boy, was that quick!\u00a0 Apparently, the manufacturer of\u00a0Marble Racers<\/a> is only 20 minutes away from my house.\u00a0 Cool.\u00a0 I hid away the box until Friday of that week\u00a0 for our family\u00a0fun night.\u00a0 MomSelect.com <\/a>sent me six cars to try out.<\/p>\n

\u00a0“Craft Project”<\/span><\/h2>\n

On family fun night, I unveiled the cars to my kids.\u00a0 Their eyes widened as I hit the car with my hand and they lit up.\u00a0 My daughter was particularly\u00a0 thrilled as she saw that you can put the stickers on the car to decorate them yourself – a craft project!\u00a0 She also noticed that at least two of the designs were meant for girls.\u00a0 My son was excited because one\u00a0car\u00a0could be decorated as a police car, one as a fireman car, and one with cool flames down the side.<\/p>\n

We went to work right away on peeling off the decals and applying them to the cars.\u00a0 To my surprise, my four year old son was able to put on most of the stickers on his cars himself.\u00a0 It took us about 5 minutes per car to put the stickers on.\u00a0 My kids were very intent on creating their car and didn’t even “test driving” the car until they were done decaling (rather than detailing) all\u00a0their cars.<\/p>\n

Off to the Races!<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/h2>\n

Now with the cars completed, it was time for the races!\u00a0 We have a long hallway which we used to set up the cars.\u00a0 We turned off the lights and sailed the cars down the hallway.\u00a0 Due to the weight of the marble, the cars flew down the hallway.\u00a0 The cars light up when they crash into things, or when my kids hit the cars first before sending them down the long corridor.<\/p>\n

We had one kid at each end of the hallway so we could race them back and forth.\u00a0 Then we tried racing the cars back in forth with one of the kids in the middle, trying to grab our cars.\u00a0 We all had a good time.\u00a0 One car would be fun, two cars more fun, but six cars was just crazy!\u00a0 We always had plenty of cars to roll back and forth and we had names for each one.<\/p>\n
