When Your Floors Need More Help – Neakasa PowerScrub 2

Neakasa PowerScrub 2 all-in-one cleaner

Vacuuming and Mopping no longer need to be done separately with this all-in-one tool.

More homeowners are choosing wood, tile, and laminate over carpet as the main floor covering throughout the home.  Why?  It looks elegant, makes the house look bigger, is easier to clean, and poses less of an allergy issue.

The downstairs of my home is entirely tile.  I like that I do not need to drudge out the vacuum very often.  I prefer lighter tools for cleaning.  However, mopping has never been a favorite task.

Our family recently tried out the Neakasa PowerScrub 2, a cordless wet/dry cleaner that makes sweeping, mopping, and deep cleaning a much easier task.  It was very easy to set up, right out of the box.

I found the PowerScrub 2 to be very easy to push and handle.  The base easily swivels to reach corners without having to turn the whole unit.  Its vacuums up debris strongly and dirt swiftly.

A simple press of the button under the handle sprays water on the floor for the mop roller to clean up.  With its two water reservoirs, clean water is sprayed and collected in another larger, dirty tank.

I could easily see how much time I had left on the battery with its digital display.

Cat Takeover

Strangely enough, my son has taken the Neakasa PowerScrub 2 captive and charges it closer to his room.

Why?  He takes care of our two family cats, which reside in his room.  As an avid cat lover, he does everything for our precious pets, including cleaning their kitty litter on a weekly basis.

And let me tell you, our cats are messy with their litter!

My son ditched his dust buster in favor of the PowerScrub 2 because he:

  • doesn’t have to bend down anymore to vacuum
  • can vacuum and mop with one tool
  • found that the vacuum is very powerful and sucks up all of the kitty litter strewn about his floor
  • has no cord to worry about
  • thinks it’s less noisy than other cleaners
  • doesn’t have to clean the mop roller, it self-cleans itself!

Features:

  • Cordless
  • 18,000pa suction, strong enough to vacuum up particles of food and debris
  • 250w self-propelled drive
  • Lightweight design, only 9.3 lbs.
  • Removes both wet and dry messes from carpets and hard floors
  • Large water 780ml clean water tank and 700ml reservoir to hold dirty water
  • Long-lasting  3000mAh lithium-ion battery can cover over 1,600ft² on a single charge
  • Max mode for messy clean-ups (think a spilled bowl of cereal) and Eco mode for normal mopping and muddy prints
  • Digital display indicating the charge level
  • Roller brush that attracts pet hair and dust from baseboards
  • Has brush roller self-cleaning built-in
  • 3-in-1 self-cleaning charging stand keeps your accessories organized and helps them dry
  • Includes reusable plastic filter to capture bigger items from the dirty water tank
  • Reusable HEPA filter to eliminate odors
  • Includes cleaning brush

Pros:

  • Easy assembly
  • Cleans mid-ply carpets well
  • Has a detachable battery
  • Vacuum and mop your floors at the same time
  • Floors dry quickly and without streaks
  • Automatic shut-off when dirty water tank is full
  • The vacuum/mop head can easily rotate 60° left and right, you need not lift the vacuum cleaner when you clean a hard-to-reach corner. Perfectly cleans the wall edge and bottom of furniture
  • It is easy to empty the dirty water
  • Includes a drying rack so the roller and filter can air out
  • It self-cleans itself, lessening the chance of it getting dirty or clogged up
  • Safety feature that turns off the machine once you pick it up (as to move it)

Cons:

  • Would be nice if there were attachments available for upholstery
  • It takes a few hours to recharge
  • a larger battery would be helpful or at least the ability to purchase a bigger battery
  • Can only angle down about 60%, so it can’t reach under the middle of couches

A Mom’s PerspectiveWellConnectedMom.com

I have tried dual cleaners before.  The Neakasa PowerScrub 2 is the best one I have tried so far.  Neakasa definitely took the time to better understand homeowners’ needs.

The large dual water tanks ensure only clean water hits your floors and requires less refilling.

I love the self-cleaning method of placing your PowerScrub in its holding container before emptying out the water tanks.  Just press a button and the machine self-cleans itself, ensuring nothing gets clogged and the roller is clean.

At first, I wondered why the battery is detachable, but this is smart for two reasons.  First, if you dock your vacuum downstairs and the battery runs out upstairs, you only need to bring down the battery to charge, not the whole vacuum.

Secondly, you can purchase a separate battery should you want to vacuum a larger space without needing to recharge.

Or, if you use your Neakasa Powerscrub 2 so much that you wear down the battery, you don’t need to purchase a whole other unit, just buy a replacement battery.

The mopping and vacuuming power of the Neakasa Powerscrub 2 will surprise you.  It has strong suction and its self-propelled feature makes cleaning much easier.  And I love the fact that the roller gets cleaned through self-cleaning, saving me from a lot of dirty work.
