How Many Devices Can You Charge with One Outlet?

I love the new USB plug wall outlets that are available on the market today, what a great idea.  You may recall I recommended the Newer Technology Power2U AC/USB Wall Outlet in our Valentine’s Gifts for the Loves in Your Life  post.  A little unconventional for a Valentine’s Gift, yes, but certainly practical.  With the Power2U AC/USB Wall Outlet you can plug in your phone and your tablet along with your toaster oven and coffee maker or electric shaver and electric toothbrush.  Nice.

Although there are a number of these USB wall outlets on the market now, what I like best about the Newer Technology product* is that

1.)   it’s the only UL certified wall plug

2.)  how closely it mimics a normal looking wall outlet.  With nothing plugged in, you wouldn’t even notice the USB slots on the side of the normal plug outlets

3.)  it allows for 2 USB plugs and 2 AC power outlet plugs to be used at once — some brands only have access for one plug and two USB slots

4.)  it’s permanent — not a plug -in on top of your normal plug (which causes you to lose one of your AC plug outlets)
