Affordable Noise Canceling ANC Headphones

Mu6 ANC Headphones

I looked at a number of different things when using Mu6 ANC headphones.  

Look

Although the material on the headphones looks like they are made from metal, they are not.  They utilize a beautiful metallic painted plastic in their construction.  Unless you picked them up, you’d never know.  The plastic helps keep the weight down on the ANC headphones as well.

As with most high-end headphones, you can fold the ear cuffs flat against your upper chest when resting them below your neck when not in use.

When coupled with the magnetic wireless charging stand, they scream EXPENSIVE…but they aren’t.

Comfort

The pillowy ear cuffs are probably the most comfortable headphones I’ve ever used.  They feature high-density memory foam.  I can keep them on for hours without fatigue. 

The adjustable band is easy to customize to your head and the ANC headphones are not too heavy, resting on the top of your head.

ANC

Using the app, I can choose the AND preset of Quiet or Very Quiet.  To me, that’s a no brainer.  In fact, I’d choose “Drowning Out” if that were an option! 

Although ANC Headphones cannot drown out all noise, they do a great job out lowering the intensity of hums and constant noise.

These ANC headphones feature dual microphones on the interior and exterior of the ear cuffs to continuously pinpoint ambient noises. 

The Mu6 ANC Headphones can effectively block noise from 2,500 to 20,000 HZ sound waves, which is a much broader spectrum than most headphones.

Sound

The sound is great with pinpointing the highs and lows.  I’ve enjoyed the stereo sound when playing jazz and other types of music.  You feel like you’re in the middle of a concert.

The Mu6 ANC Headphones come with a free app that allows you to personalize the equalizer (EQ). 

Dependent upon the music you are listening to, choose from Original, Popular, HIFI, Jazz, Rock, or a customized equalizer (Personal EQ).

The Personal EQ is a fantastic feature for people of all ages.  You can set your equalizer dependent upon your hearing capability on different frequencies.

The app tests your hearing and uses an algorithm to compensate for any hearing loss.

It will match your results to its Mu6 Golden Curve and compensate appropriately in the areas where your ears may not pick up certain tones.  Very clever and helpful.

Cons:

• When I put the headphones on the wireless charging stand, there is no visual affirmation that they are correctly charging
• If you enlarge the headphones too fast, you could break the plastic headband
